Mitch, bummer to hear it hasn't been a good season there either. I'm sure you can guess how well it's going in Seattle based on what one saw from the Olympics. We might hit Whistler later this month though. Got a few pre-paid days that we need to use. I've never been to Mammoth before but heard good things. They're getting a good amount of snow this season eh? Maybe I can talk Lily into going there

A happy drunk as well. And I get louder and more talkative. If I get drunk enough and I'm dancing, then for some reason I want all my friends dancing as well. Not sure why, but it makes so much sense at the time.

While at Niseko I was talking with an Aussie on the gondola. He's living in Shanghai and said that the Chinese and Russians are building a large resort somewhere on the border. He said it would be the largest ski field in the world. A bit light on details and I'm assuming this is a whiles off, but interesting none the less.

Just got off the phone with GoNative. We got mixed up: he thought we were meeting in Kutchan and I thought in Hirafu. Postponed til Sat night, we'll meet up in Kutchan. GoNative, could you possibly give us directions to the SportsBar via the bus? cheers.

8 works. We can meet up and get a consensus of where to do. I'm going to invite a few Kiwis I met while in town as well. Which sports bar is that? Or is it actually called "Sports Bar"? I'll be the tall American with a beard (but prob not a snow beard).

How about we all meet up at a bar in Hirafu and then we can rap and decide where to go.

But perhaps not being as bad as other places isn't an excuse for ignoring ones own failings.

Funny, I just found out about Northwind last night. It's literally across the street from my accommodation at Pension Kanon. Had a good time last night. But yikes, it's hard to hear yourself sing in there, they've got the voice turned way down and of course everyone is yelling along to the song. Still, good times.

So how about we get together on Friday night for some drinks and karaoke. I don't know any karaoke places, so if someone could suggest one. Since we've got peeps coming from Hirafu perhaps one walkable from there. Or if it's easy to get to via bus that works as well. MB, we'll post here wherever we end up going.

I've got a smart cool balaclava and use it with my helmet. Great for staying warm in general. But it's actually a bit too big, so it doesn't work well to keep my face warm, most of the time I don't bother with it. Getting the neoprene mask seems like the way to go, might have to give that a try as well.

Haha thanks for the reference Mitch. Fortunately (for me and for you) I don't have any karaoke videos of myself. But I'm sure we can fix that! How does Friday or Sat sound for everyone? Perhaps Go Native can recommend a place for everyone to meet up. I'm staying in Hirafu @ Pension Kanon.

Just got done with some night boarding. Bad visibility at times but still enjoyable. Forecast isn't to good for the rest of the week though =(

Yep, I'm in Hirafu. But I'm down to check out Kutchan or wherever, as long as it's accessible by bus or I can grab a ride. Had a lazy morning and did some errands, so unfortunately I missed the blue bird day. But about to go out and get some turns in, I'll check in after wards.

My 1st of two weeks in Niseko is coming to an end. Good times on the mountain, but being here by ones self does get lonely at times. Anyone down to go out for a drink and what not tonight? Karaoke would be awesome! Cheers, James

It was def cold today. And Windy.

I've only met one other American here so far, and we both seemed to be pretty chill I haven't seen anything to rowdy/crazy. But then again I really haven't been going out drinking at night.

Haha. My board just felt strange, didn't want to do turns. It was much colder yesterday than the 2 other days I had been out. I just did one run and dropped the board off to get it waxed, chilled out the rest of the day. About to head out now. I'll post some photos tonight.

I've been averaging 4-5 hours a day at Niseko. But it's day 3 and I felt funny out on the slopes. Taking it easy.
