  1. mattaus the le neige is literally a stones throw from where you staying. That mexican place mentioned earlier, I'm not sure if it is the same one, but there is a mexican in echoland which you will visit as one of the included meals on your trip. Found a nice (and cheap) restaurant with huuuuge meals that is down near the mcdonalds in the village, it's called emu (or maybe imu) check out the chefs special on the menu.. it comes in a bowl the size of a wok and is delicious. oh and next door to emu is ao convenience store that also sells fireworks (hanabi) which may keep you entertained haha
  2. was in hakuba from 18th - 30th jan roughly. had an awesome time! made lots of friends, had a few days early on with great snowfall and fresh pow pow. snow got pretty poor towards the end with soem hot days but i guess we were spoilt at the beginning. Found things to be expensive, but only because of the state of the aus dollar, had it still been strong it would be a fairly cheap destination. Can't wait to go back!
  3. I know in hakuba, that happo one, hakuba 47/goryu and tsugaike all use electronic passes
  4. Hey bud, I've been meaning to get on and give you a run down, but basically, I've been to busy just having a blast haha! don't worry about the accom man your gonna have a ball. first of all,oz snow only bouught the wind jacket in like september or something, so those reviews are from previous owners running it. The accomodation is by no means the flashest, our room is tiny and in a basement, but each room has a heater and the beds are comfy, so to me that is all I need. having said that some of the rooms are much nicer than mine. there is a common room where everyone hangs out, and it is
  5. I think it is enabled after you've made so many posts... you wouldn't be far off now. scratch that i get the same thing.
  6. well i so happen to have a very good aim so i do my bit in keeping it clean, however it's easier to aim with a rifle than a handgun.. if you know what I mean haha i'm only playing around
  7. thats a shame. hakuba now is up apparently a 30-40cm dump last night hopefully it keeps up as I'm there in a few days! fingers crosses for snow dry fluffy stuff soon in Niigata for you muikabochi.
  8. yep, I check them regularly. they're great. just a bit eager to hear if there was a dumping or not i guess.
  9. OK, so we were forecast for some good snow last nigth in hakuba, and I guess other parts of Honshu... can someone tell me how it's all looking?
  10. 7 days, 17 hours, 48 minutes, 36 seconds until my plane leaves. not that anyones counting. (no really i only found out because you asked) mattaus, I will be in hakuba for about 2 weeks, most probably doing the same package you are. i will be back home in early february, so if i don't find 5 minutes on the internet in my holiday i will let you know when I return.
  11. mattaus i have found the same review in my own research, dont think there is a wwole lot more info out there, but mate, I'm going to be in hakuba in exactly 1 week and 1 day, and I'm staying at the wind jacket, so as long as the part about internet access is correct, I will let you know.

  16. OK OK so on nye the lineup for a kebab was as long as the lineup for a taxi, but in the later hours of the morning still seeking that much needed stomach sponge i found myself back in line to hold a nice big fat 'with the lot' so i took a photo for you so you can see how a real kebab is made in oz!.. now to figure out how to upload pics to here! there you go. not much better than a nice thick greasy half eaten kebab. details are as follows - mixed kebab (chicken and beefylamb mix) all salads tabbouleh, the lot. hot chilli, garlic sour cream and lemon juice. not even 15 minut
