  2. try looking at www.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld or the abc24 site (if you are in australia)
  3. ok for those who like to watch. ABC24 is showing NHK world (which I assume you can find streams of them both)
  4. I like the one I use for Sydney. "Bomb it flat. Then bomb it again"
  5. Your kids must be lovely so please forgive me for saying this. But if they can behave themselves at the lodge you are staying at then go for it. Learning to board or ski at a young age would be great for them (when they are young they are made out of Chuck Norris material and bounce off anything) I am only winging cause they put 6 little @% where I am staying and being woken up at the crack of dawn with them screaming is not cool

  8. Radio center is a heap of small shops and stalls in Akihabara that sells electronic parts like chips tools etc. Now I live in the wasteland of Sydney where people in our stores still think that taking their picture steals their soul. I shit you not you can put your head next to theirs you will hear the ocean. But enough of that. I brought a few things and had a great time exploring the place... It was a great feeling to walk into a electronics store and not have a urge to abuse the sales staff.
  9. Well I landed last night after a day in Tokyo (radio center) and I already want to plan for next years trip before I hit the snow Now it's time to wave up and hit the snow
  10. This is my 2 cents as I am at Sydney airport getting ready to board my flight. When you get to a point where you need help getting more control under speed and you have ran out of ideas. The go for a private leson. They can help you progress to the next stage and you (I hope) get better control at speed...

It's part of my weekly hobby to abuse staff at local electronic shops
  12. Well that's handy to know I be in that area on Wednesday so I pick up some stuff I need from there (save getting ripped at the Sydney stores) Thanks
  13. Morning Mortals.. Well the clothes are at the laundromat (need to get a couple of items like thermals etc) The paperwork is ready and my board is packed (10kg) Now whats better ? exchange aud to yen in Sydney or in Tokyo (avoiding Airports of course)
  14. Hey there. Have a great time mate. I will be flying out on the 1st and after 2 nights in Tokyo I will be at the chill lodge on the 3rd
  15. I had a night shift to do but trying to sleep during the day in the heat was hard...
  16. I dont like cameras in my computers. The first laptop I got that had one was disabled (I opened it up and unplugged it) I don't want a to end up on YouTube with a video called 'minute man'

It's great to have a mate to teach you, but I hate everyone and I go to Japan to get the #@!% away from Sydney-sliders. But what I like to do is get to a point with my snowboarding then take a single private lesson to get someone to work out what I am doing right & wrong and learn a new set of things I can work on. At this stag
  18. Get to a point where you have a lot of questions and then take a private lesson to progress to the next step. I had a couple of private lessons in NZ and they where great. this time I hope to start doing jumps so I can hurl myself of the mountain side Thelma and Louise style.
