grungy-gonads 54
My tv died on me last weekend, so just bought a new hi-vision digital plasma deal. It was installed last night and is friggin awesome (and far too big for my living room). I need to share

oblivion 5
Did you get the Sony one...that looks very sweet.
nzlegend 1
Dont like the Sonys, if you compare the screens ina shop the Sony is not as good as others. Sharp and Panasonic seem good at first sight. GG you lucky man it must be sweet to have a cool set like that, nice one buddy enjoy!
grungy-gonads 54
It's the Sony, yeah. Couse I compared them all next to each other looking at exactly the same hivision channels and stuff - and that was the choice I made! Looked like the winner to me. It's massive, but tres cool and an amazing pic when its a hivision broadcast.
klingon 10
You must be stoked - and less well off!!
BagOfCrisps 24
Can't sleep, can't sleep. Nearly 4am here. Them things cost an absolute fortune here in the UK. Something like 6 grand for the top new models.

Ocean11 0
You must be mad. I used to enjoy watching videos on my wife's old red plastic 15" Sony TV. That was the dog's bollocks. Apocalyse Now never looked better.
mina2 6
Mad? Er, well I know which I'd prefer
NoFakie 45
Surely the big question is.... Are you allowed to sit and scratch your grungy gonads in front of said television set?
cal 6
gg. Tell me, with those new HDD/DVD recorder things, are there any restrictions on what you can record? I heard that some things you can't record (which seems pretty useless).
grungy-gonads 54
There are indeed it seems. I'm not completely sure about all this myself yet (so much to learn!) but it seems that lots of Digital WOWOW and movies on Sky Perfect etc are "copy control"(led). Seems that you can record to the HDD just once (not that you'd want it more than once). Also seems that you can record that onto a DVD - but that DVD will only work on that machine (ie the DVD you make won't work on other DVD players). I might be wrong but that seems to be what the guide books are telling me (in confusing JapanesE).
grungy-gonads 54
Yes, it doesnt let you record twice on many movies etc. Just got me a home theater amp/speaker system too. The house is rocking now
