Ahhh Canada, not part of America. What better reason than that to celebrate.

I am sick of getting bad treatment in France on the assumption that I am American (or British).

I think Australia, NZ and Canada should all ditch the queen and form a club of our own called "Pissoff! I'm not a seppo (or a pom)".

Members of POINAS(OAP) could all benefit from economic co-operation and swap women.

Dear Brit, who would think you are a seppo or a pom? you come across as unworthy. Don't most people take you for an idiot from down under?

And last night I had an amazing Canadian dinner.

Corn on the Cob (Had to shuck it myself)

Baked potato

Fried salmon stakes

3 Labbat Blue beer

Feels good to be Canadian although it didn't feel to good after eating all that food. But the corn was so good. I mish my peaches and cream flavour.

I don't know about "amazing", but baked potatoes can be very delicious scouser.

I used to have them for lunch from a baked potato stand when I was in the UK with beans/cheese, chilli or some other fun filling.

Well at least Canada has a National Day people feel proud of (and a kick ass flag) unlike New Zealand which has a contentious, divisive and recently quite an embarrasing National Day. Nothing unifying or proud about Feb 6. Anyway Happy National Holiday for Yesterday to all the Canadians on the board.

Thanks Kamo

Looking through this topic there are a lot of people that don't like to celebrate national birthdays like this.

Just wondering why this is?

Are you not proud of where you come from?

I know that on July 4th many Americans will be having a great time. Good for them. It's a happy day full of family, friends and fireworks. As it's almost July 4th. Happy Independance Day America clap.gif

And on that positive note. I'm going home. Have a good weekend.

I really love where I come from, but I don't have overwhelming "I'm so proud" feelings.

I'm not keen on the concept of "pride", it is the cause of much trouble. And I often do not like overly proud people.
