happyhappy 0
Do you do all the things that people do or not? ie those fortune things people buy and put on the trees, throwing coins and praying, etc. I must say I feel a bit of a wally doing them.
7-11 2
I only believe the fortune things if they say good things. If they say bad things, then they are just rubbish.
ian.f 0
There are no really bad ones, so I heard.
scouser 4
I have been known to put some coins in and do my little inner thoughts thing. I wouldn't call it prayer, don't do that. I like visiting temples, I really do. It always seems to relax me.
grungy-gonads 54
I never go. Got all that out of my system when I first came here.
guzzlers-baps 0
I really enjoy going to the temples and joining in. It makes me feel relaxed somehow.
muikabochi 208
There's a really cool temple not far from where I live called Untoan. I sometimes go there just to relax, very nice place.

slow 0
There is a small but very nice shrine just 5minutes walk from my apartment. Many trees, cool in summer, very quiet. I like that we have these locally sacred places everywhere in Japan and we enjoy seasonable events (Hatsumode, Matsuri, Hakamairi...) year round!

slow 0
Demo... those seasonable events in the US held in sacred places like shrine or temple? Maybe you have to show me your country how people enjoy 4 seasons.

joshnii 2
Muikabochi took me and the lady to that Untoan place - really nice place. The nearest one to me is Yahiko. Nice enough place, can be very busy.
