@tokyo 14
Do you photo guys recommend staying away from 2nd hand lenses? I would have thought it something that might be best avoided, though that is just a guess.
Kumapix 0
2nd hand lenses are great
miller 1
...when they're great. Nikon is really on a run with new product of late Nikon's D90 is the first-ever DSLR with HD video recording, but maybe more importantly for actual photographers, Nikon is promising much of the same low-noise performance of their higher end DSLRs. gifugill 0
I am wary. I like nice new shiny things anyway.
thursday 1
This is so annoying. D90 has video but can't use auto focus for the video. AND IT'S DX. Next up, D800, FX and with video. BUT WILL IT HAVE AF???? I have stopped sniffing the D700. I will have to wait....
snowboard 0
Thinking of buying a decent camera myself at the moment though not really past that point yet. Don't think I need to spend too much. Whats up with the 700?
thursday 1
just wait, 700 sounds to me no the way to go now. Thank god I didn't go D300 either. FX plus HD vid with AF. Sounds far fetched? wait a coupla months.
grungy-gonads 54
But do you really want vid in a camera?
griller 9
You still using D200, thursday?
thursday 1
yes. The D200 is a fine camera.
thursday 1
having a video function sounds weird but if I had it, if I was shooting my baby and then he does something for the first time, I'd like to switch it to video instead of rushing off to get the camcorder. When it comes out, just hope the capture capabilites can make use of the great lenses.
gifugill 0
Fair point. Doesn't really interest me though.
