Ocean11 0
Traveling to a country with snow in summer, and taking a helicopter up to ride it... Unbelievable self-indulgence.

Ocean11 0
Oh no, not at all. I only like riding at places where they have drinks machines all over serving beverages at inflated prices. I'm looking forward to reading your report. I could do with a good cry.

cal 6
Nice pictures guys. How much does all this kind of stuff cost?
klubhead 0
depends on which company you go with. from $600 to 800 seemed to be the norm for between 3 to 5 runs, bigger companies charging more per run. some places $695 for 5, others 695. you takes your pick!!! cheeseman 1
You neglected to mention, klubhead, if you took any nutritious cheeses on your trip to help you out. I reckon a good fromage would help along with the excitement of the occasion.
klubhead 0
actually i didn't change my socks for 5 days and so by the time we flew the chopper was filled with a delicate bouquet reminiscent of a 72 stilton.

NoFakie 45
Hey Klubhead Great article! For us Northern Hemisphere folks, there are 2.1 NZ dollars to the American one. With todays rate of 121 yen to the dollar, that makes 700 NZ around 40,000 yen. If you've got time, how about giving us your thoughts on the Fish? That baby is coming out in three sizes this year, with two different flex patterns for the mid size. How did it handle different kinds of snow? Responsiveness? Any problems landing off natural hits with that short tail?
klubhead 0
the fish was good!! I'm used to riding a 167 so boarding on a 156 was fantastic, soooo easy to turn. BUT the tail was a little short for doing any big junps because there ain't no landing gear. I'm 179 cm in height and I'n gonna buy a 160 fish for the comming season. even on the groomed runs it handled really well and I had no back leg burn in 5 days of riding pow only. definelety a pow board and would be superb in the trees. worth every penny!!
