dizzy 0
thanx montoya. i'd read the previous threads. reading bout the goods and skiing the goods r different. i wanna board the powder with someone who's been there B4.
scouser 4
It pays to be on that first ropeway at Mitsumate and head straight to the Gondola and be first at Kagura.
taguchi 0
If it's not too windy a start from Tashiro is also recommended. The slopes aren't so steep on that side but the snow is usually excellent.
klingon 10
Generally which do you guys all use - Mitsumata or Tashiro?
SKI 15
I usually do Mitsumata. Tashiro is further and seem to take longer. If it's windy up there it's not fun and the slopes are not very steep. Good snow though.
slow 0
There are some nice non-groomed slopes on the side of Kagura. Kagura must be very good for my powder practice!

It may be the flattest skiing I have seem in Japan.
SKI 15
Yeah, not very steep. It is by no means the flattest skiing I have experienced. There are a few good slopes, and the snow is usually really excellent over there.

woywoy 0
Montoya ... when do you reckon the top lift at Kagura is going to be open? Is there a chance it will open on the weekend? How deep was the snow on the "course"? I really dont think that Kagura is worth riding unless that top lift is open. Do you know of any alternative resorts for when that top lift is in fact closed? Waiting around the whole day for it to start up again is a real pain.
big-will 7
I would think less than 0.000000001% chance of it opening this weekend. That top lift usually only opens in spring, never mind the biggest blizzards of 20 years.
big-will 7
OK with you. For me the "top lift" is just that - the top lift that only seems to open in spring. Surprised to hear that even the quad was closed. Must be tons of snow.
LiquidX 0
There sure is. I bet they're complaining of "too much snow" now.
