Something interesting at the top perhaps? mogski 0
Anyone see the news on TV on Saturday night that showed some place in Shizuoka I think that had a slope opened? Of course all man made but it all means that we are just that slide closer to the real thing! In other promising news also as I was driving my mobile on Sat. I saw a car loaded up with skis on the roof!!! Could be they were going somewhere, could be there were coming from somewhere - most likely tuning session in Awajicho - but again nonetheless a promising sign!!! BRING ON THE SNOW Need someone to clean my fridge too, but this is way off topic!
Ski Japan Guide 0
We hadn't heard, but we'll look into that mogski, thanks!
damian 0
I used to work on the rule of thumb that temp drops 10 degrees © per 1000m in elevation. If that rule is applicable in Japan then it must have snowed somewhere today.
mogski 0
Any news on the slope that opened up? Well I did some looking around on the net and here it is. Sorry it is only in Japanese, but I am not the one who made the site. Anyway, looks like the season has begun!!! http://www.yeti-resort.com/menu.html
Ski Japan Guide 0
We've asked around a bit this morning and can't find anywhere that's open. Let us know if you here more....
Ocean11 0
Yeti is open (from the 19th apparently). At least, 1,000 m of A course, 5 - 8 metres wide with 30 cm snow on it is open. Grrrreat! (This info is available on the website posted by mogski. Hey man, go and post a review when you get back.)
