banno 0
I sit here and wonder and wish and hope that January keeps draining snow from the heavens like it has for the past couple of weeks. When I was planning our trip to Niseko 6 months ago I was looking at heading over on boxing day for a couple of weeks but then I thought if its a dodgey start to the season like it was a couple of years ago its a long way to go to be disappointed so I thought 2nd week to 4th week of January and the odds are more on my side but now I just wonder. So all you folks heading over there in Jan and Feb are you hoping and wishing like me
Chriselle 158
I was watching the news a few days ago and the weather dudes were thinking January was going be warm. My wife was yapping in my ear...as usual..... so I didn't catch it all.
hellyer 216
I bet it won't snow in Niseko from January to March

muikabochi 208
Wayyyy too early to even consider talking about the peak of the season being over. Surely! Let's just look at it as a great start, once it got going*/in most places* (delete as appropriate).

hellyer 216
Whoaaaa, settle down chaps. Don't worry I have won many a free beer in the pub with the old "it won't rain/snow from x to y" statement What I said was it will not snow from Jan to March - literally meaning continously Now I think that's a pretty safe bet...............and if I'm wrong we are all winners anyway
yamabushi 3
We already got 315cm in Hakkoda but it is still to warm for it to be the super fluffy stuff I crave (mid to low 20f during the day).
Memphis Hawk 2
Yeah it's still a little thick in Aomori. How often do you go to Hakkoda. I need a partner. That's the number one thing that keeps me away too much from there
sanjo 2
I sit here and wonder if it is snowing in Yuzawa coz it's RAINING here in Sanjo. Nothing to get too bothered about as it often does here in winter!
muikabochi 208
It was borderline here sanjo but wet snow falling now. Looks like snow in Yuzawa.

Jynxx 4
Still waiting for snow in Germany. Last year we were boarding in October, but didn´t snow for the whole month in Jan. (or was it Feb?) II reckon it´s spot on when Aussies call themselves Punters ... especially when people book themselves early. But how many people can just go next day ...
panhead_pete 27
Well it snowed pretty much continuously for the week up until Wed so anything is possible.

banno 0
As long as the snow god has half a load he can leave it all over the hill in niseko next week and I will be happy
