nagpants 1
Fuji-Q park really does roll out the big coasters regularly hey. Takabisha opens in a few days. Looks great. Takabisha accelerates to 100 km/h, has a 43m drop and a 121-degree freefall.
grungy-gonads 54
That looks awesome. Fujiyama Iijanai-ka This and the now-looking-old Dodonpa. Quality rides at Fujikyu.
Tubby Beaver 209
Fujikyu rocks! I'm gonna be down that way in a few weeks, may spend a day at the park, that new coaster looks awesome!!
sanjo 2
I really really want to get there. Is it busy mid-weeks as well? Might go in October or around then.
Tubby Beaver 209
if its not during school/university holidays then I don't think its that busy

Thundercat 60
Even mid week you have to get lucky because there are lots of school trips there with jr. and sr. high schools. In the summer its basically busy every day.

grungy-gonads 54
Go on a day that is quiet and it's an amazing place. Avoid holidays and try to be lucky re: school trips too.
2pints-mate 0
Is that place open all year, even in winter?
Jynxx 4
Ah. After doing some base jump and bungee, can´t get any satisfaction on those machine ride freefall ... I like being tossed around with added G´s
2pints-mate 0
You are just so uber-gnarly.
scouser 4
Really not sure actually, 2pints. I imagine they are. I have been twice, once when the Dodonpa was new and then again last year. The first time was a nightmare, queues were just madness. Second time though we didn't wait long for anything, 10 minutes was the most and often just a few, and could go on as much as we wanted. And we did! Great day knackered by the end.
klingon 10
They're not known for a high 'throughput' so try to time it for a quiet day.

(which is what I secretly go for). Theres a hotel on-site and you can get decent deals that include your park pass + hotel and sometimes travel to and from Tokyo
pie-eater 207
But.... if it is too cold/icy/wild weather, some of the big coasters don't work. So you need to check.
NoFakie 45
Sounds like British Rail. I hope that new one goes over the overhang very very slowly. If I were the designer, I'd make it stop there for a few seconds so people could enjoy the view. After years off them, I went on a ride thingy last month. It was called "2Xtreme" and does some wild flipping just at it approaches the ground. Apparently it was 68 miles an hour and 4 to 5G. Despite being four quid, it was pretty good value, because afterwards I didn't want to go on anything else. Or have any curry and chips.
Ocean11 0
I've always thought that rides in the UK are just more violent and sickening than anywhere else. Like you haven't had your money's worth if you can't walk straight afterwards (much like other UK entertainments).
pie-eater 207
Blackpool's The Big One is nice and, er, rough after they altered the first big drop bit. Still fun though.
big-will 7
They probably don't look after them or even cut corners in making the things in the first place.
