muikabochi 208
No, not a Mister Donuts. The nearest Mister Donuts is in Tokamachi. BTW, building on Route 17 in Yuzawa that used to be a McDs seems to have re-opened as a ramen shop. Lets see if they can do better than the Mos Burger > 7-11 > McDonalds that building used to be! joshnii 2
Wheres the one in Tokamachi, muika? Is that new?
muikabochi 208
It's in Jusco, or what used to be Jusco. If the Jusco in Tokamachi is like the one here in Muikamachi, it's now Aeon! Opened a few years back now I suppose.
tokabochi 9
Really? Changed name? I'll have to check. Will always be Jusco to me
muikabochi 208
Surprised me when I saw it. The name Jusco has gone completely from the Muikamachi one. Only noticed it about a month ago actually, don't know when the change was made. Now if only they had a Mister Donuts in there!
Wizz 11
I missed this. Congratulations on the move and everything, must be settled down by now I suppose. I hate moving but when it's to a better place always great getting used to it.
blinkin'ek 0
Missed it too. Great position you had there. Hope you are settling in and enjoy new place.

I'm Sexy 0
Hello. Congratulations on the move. Where about in Minamiuonuma are you now?
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan 178 Posted July 7, 2011 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted July 7, 2011 Anyone in Minamiuonuma will see the big sign and laser pointing to the sky! On the east side of the expressway/route 17, fairly close to the mountains. Joetsu Kokusai is probably 10 minutes drive away, Maiko about 10 minutes, Hakkai-san about 15 minutes. viv&kev 0
Haven't been around for a while as we have left Japan. Congratulations on the move. And thanks for being a great site and community. Really helped when we were over there. Doesn't look like we will be back to Japan anyime soon. Good luck with everything and keep going strong!
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan 178 Posted July 13, 2011 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted July 13, 2011 Thanks viv&kev, and all the other well-wishers. We're have been working full on with some pretty exciting new stuff that should hopefully be online come October.

iiyamadude 6
Hey mick, you been busy?
Mick Rich 78
Kind of! A combination of getting bogged down with work, studying for the JLPT and a crap internet connection at home!
BagOfCrisps 24
Quit work, and just have fun. There we go simple solution!
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan 178 Posted July 21, 2011 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted July 21, 2011 Thanks Mick. Good to see you around.
Mick Rich 78
Cheers David! Nice idea B of C but then how am I going to fund my seasons in Hokkaido? They almost bankrupt me as it is!
BagOfCrisps 24
Find it amazing you can take "seasons" out, but... I'm just jealous.
Mick Rich 78
It sounds good but then I've no job security, no fixed abode, no car and a large credit card bill to pay off! No complaints though, I'll be heading up there again in January!
muikabochi 208
Hi Mick good to see you around. Mad for it! Is it Furano again or are you going to go somewhere else this time?
Mick Rich 78
Hi there! I'm currently undecided. Much as I like Furano, I really enjoyed Niseko and Rusutsu so wouldn't mind spending some more time exploring those and some of the other resorts over that way. & I keep promising myself a trip to Hakkoda. Then there's Myoko and some other resorts that I missed out on in March. & I still haven't been to Hakuba! PS Just realised that I've completely hijacked this post - sorry guys! muikabochi 208
Aren't you - for want of a better word - bored of Furano?
Mick Rich 78
Yes and no! As with all places, it has its pros and cons but I've now made some good friends there so I guess that's the biggest draw and what will probably see me return there for a least a few weeks this season.
