NoFakie 45
I think kitkats are crap tbh. Too plain and the chocolate is mediocre. And people want to be slapped for the "kitto katsu" marketing they do in Japan. If I had the standard UK choices, I think I'd have a solid chocolate bar or a Crunchie. Cinder toffee is well yummy! Tubby Beaver 209
mainly because Kit Kats are seen and treated more like a biscuit in the UK than a chocolate bar. Although the Chunk Kit Kats are deffo in the chocolate bar range, had a nice dark chocco one today with a up of strong coffee...mmmm nce!
big-will 7
Crunchies are brilliant. Just love those. Brought back a box of 48 last time. Way too tempting.
NoFakie 45
A fellow fan! Next time I'm near an import food shop, I'll have to stock up so I can have a go making some. Golden syrup and malt vinegar are what you need apparently. They make the toffee foam up. I had a go at the most popular "nama caramel" recipe on Cookpad a couple of months back but I overboiled the mix and it cooled to become rock solid. It would melt to creamy chewy goodness in your mouth though, a bit like Thortons toffee.
big-will 7
Mr Wiggles Made it many times myself. Tooooo easy. And very naughty. If you put on weight easy, best not to try!!
Jynxx 4
Brigadeiro Brazillians taught me how. Condensed milk (some add a teaspoon full butter), add a bit of cacao, keep stirring it on low heat until it gets thick.
