Jynxx 4
...and it's also called evolution. Why would skiers be wearing 2 fat skis - pretend snowboard? Splitboards are the dope - reminds you that two planks are for walking.

Yuki's Passion 1
It was rejuvenating hearing it again thats for sure. I was messing with people up in Hokkaido switching between the two...their heads were spinning not sure what to make of it
muikabochi 208
I don't know about liberating but I went to Naeba today. Got out of the car and opened the boot. Forgot my poles. So I spent the day without poles. Twas interesting, but I think I'll just remember them next time!

muikabochi 208
Generally good. Bit crusty in places but no complaints.
SKI 15
At least that's do-able. Once I turned up with only 1 boot!
gerard 6
I'd be pissed if I did that. I don't get out much.
snowdude 44
I would also be well pissed too if I left one boot behind, can't exactly get boots to fit my feet easily, had to have mine custom made. I always use poles, except when I am speeding down the slopes flat out, then I just duck down, tuck the poles under my arms facing behind me. They are handy though when curving in pow or for leaning on when waiting in the lift line.
thursday 1
hire the poles at 1000yen per year.
SKI 15
I didn't tell the whole story I had to drive back to the hotel and back to the resort so I lost about 30 minutes. It wasn't a trip back 'home'!
inned muppet 0
Now that doesn't sound quite as dramatic.
Thundercat 60
One time, I got to the beach and the swell was pumping... nobody was out... I was stoked and scrammbled into my wetsuit... pulled my board out of the car... and realized no leash cord!! Waves were too big to go in without it so I sped off to a nearby surf shop to pick up a new one. Got more than a few giggles from the staff there when they saw me come cruising in! D'oh!
