muikabochi 208
Wasn't the ipod scoffed at at first?
JA2340 16
And, by the time they got to V3.5, it was reasonable.
thursday 1
all these nay sayers without experiencing one. I say give it a go, then decide if it's enough for you.
JA2340 16
trouble is that it costs to "give it a go". Very few stores will loan you a machine (even if they do have stock to spare) so you can see if it works for you.
RobBright 35
Am a naysayer as I have a netbook, which was cheaper than the iSanitarytowel, has more functionality, and more power. This is no more than a glorified iPod that has been locked down by Apple.
JA2340 16
Apple made "personal" computers easy to access and customise with the Apple // series (I know, I had one with lots of non-standard add-ons). Then came the Mac, and the Apple-only screws that you had to be an accredited Apple tech to get ahold of. They've been trying ways to screw the system shut ever since, mostly succeeding. Why should the latest attack of the apple monster be any different?
RobBright 35
Because it's apple, and they're a "nice" company, unlike the behemoth that is Microsoft.

thursday 1
that's really weird. Just don't buy it. Why protest?
RobBright 35
For those not in the know?
thursday 1
if you don't like a product, then don't buy it. Simple. Why waste yourtime looking like a dick? Weird. Or do they look like a dick anyway and have nothing to do with their time?
Curt 1
Apple just seem to be one of those companies that creates this kind of either extreme fanaticism or hatred, probably fuelled by jealousy/resentment. Both extremes are bullshit.
Curt 1
or should I say as bad as each other.
