I once worked with a Scotish man back in my engineering days and speaking to him was almost like speaking a foreign language I could hardly understand a bloody word he said the first few weeks until I got used to his accent.

He was a really nice bloke very friendly and a good worker but his accent.....

Did he wear a kilt and play the bagpipes?

Not a knock...but when my old Scottish buddy and I would go out for a couple bevies I'd invariably have to ask him to speak Japanese as after getting a buzz on I couldn't understand a F'ing word he was saying...

Yeah I get that a lot, especially from North Americans.

My cousin plays the bagpipes......he brought them over and piped my wife in and us out at our wedding. I wore a kilt and so did all the male Scottish contingent who came over for the wedding
