Curt 1
Here's some of it, sickbags at the ready.
KlingKlang 1
Larry King has really got worse as he gets older. That was just one big lick piece. I recommend everyone to avoid CNN/BBC etc the next day to avoid all the mawkishness that is going to go on.
JA2340 16
I am SOOO over the MJ thing! Whatever happened to Farrah Fawcett? Why did she have to pick the same week as MJ to go? Just a couple of weeks later and she'd be getting the same sort of coverage as MJ.
BagOfCrisps 24
No she wouldn't. Nothing like.
HelperElfMissy 42
No...your right BoC, she wouldnt. But she has been all but ignored due to MJ checking out the same day.
BagOfCrisps 24
Without a doubt. As much as I do not care and actually dislike MJ and his music, it seems there are billions of berks out there who adore him and what he stood for (!) ( )
BagOfCrisps 24
Magic Johnson, the legendary basketball player who became fast friends with Michael's older brother Jackie, said, in all earnestness: "I truly believe Michael made me a better point guard and basketball player." BagOfCrisps 24
Didn't We Are The World come AFTER Band Aid? They're talking about We Are The World on CNN as if it was the big idea that "changed the world".
scouser 4
Quote: The Band Aid project inspired other charity records around the world, including We Are the World by USA for Africa (in the United States) scruffy bob started it all off, though that sadly kind of spoils the 'magical story' being told today. JA2340 16
Yeah, stop spoiling everything by being logical and pedantic, Jacko fans will ignore all the facts anyway.
HelperElfMissy 42
Sad to see little Paris and her heartache at losing her Dad. hmmm... I know the allegations, and they are so very very likely to be true, but it doesnt take away from the fact that 3 little kiddies have lost thier father and only present parent. That's gotta be hard. The pomp and pagentry and excesses of his 'farewell' is shocking to me - about the same OTT coverage as the Obama Inauguration. Scary. But lost in there are 3 kids - scared for the future. Error404 0
Little children lose their parents every day. I am quite sure that they will be looked after better than lots of others elsewhere in the world.
NoFakie 45
RIP Jacko. Shamone! This was done years ago, but still cracks me up. It may bite, but it's still his music and his moves. As for parents who let their kids play unsupervised with adult strangers, especially pop stars with a reputation, well words fail really. http://toccionline.kizash.com/movies/i_never_copped_a_feel/

brit-gob 9
Is it acceptable to sleep with boys in your bed? He has admitted that, has he not?
Mantas 3
No it's not. That's what I call weird. Whether he actually molested them or not comes down to one persons word against another. I doubt anyone will ever know for sure. I get the impression that the Jury acquitted him based on the lack of evidence and the previous dodgey form of the accusers. The fact that he quickly handed over $20000000 to the first accuser opened the door for any of the other kids (parents) that had ever had a 'sleep over' at Neverland. Curt 1
glad I'm not an LA taxpayer Quote: The memorial service for singer Michael Jackson cost the city of Los Angeles $1.4 million, the mayor's office said. Costs included putting extra police on the streets, trash pickup, sanitation, traffic control and more for the Tuesday event, a spokeswoman said. The city, which is $530 million in debt, set up a Web page seeking donations to help with the expenses.
BagOfCrisps 24
BUT HE WAS A GENIUS, THE KING, AND GAVE SO MUCH TO THE WORLD!!!!!!!!
Jynxx 4
Well you know... there are artists and genius and blah blah.. What ever they are it doesn't mean they are good (socially acceptable) because they can do something well. But they get tolerated. Prime example, Aussie cricket and football players. John Lennon was an asshole according to his son. Isn't it enough for the public just to have his music ?
JA2340 16
But ... did he go before his time? OR was it his time to go! Obviously, I believe the latter, and all the carry on is just that, palaver and carry-on. Now, can we just get on with our lives and forget him? Please?

Nisoko 6
I find the whole thing simply ludicrous. The world is mad.
flip360 0
La Toya says he was murdered for his money. Must have been under the bed I support. He should be mentioned in that "doesn't pay his bills" thread perhaps.
