Davo 1
Given the choice I would rather not be in Japan from mid July to mid December. I'm guessing most of the rest of you are also getting a tad fed up with THE HEAT. Of course the thing I like most about summer is it's eventual demise, apart from that the things I like are... -Swimming in rivers, lakes and the ocean (if I get the chance) -Walking around outside after the sun goes down -Electrical storms and downpours -The holidays -The sound of cicadas -Drinks with lots of ice Not a huge list really. Roll on autumn
kintaro 0
Pretty much the same things you mentioned. But in addition, -I like wearing slippers(sandles, flip-flops) outdoors and shorts. -Going to the batting center. I stay there for hours. -I love the green of nature. -I like that it's acceptable to mope around in a state of fatigue b/c of the heat. (Natsu bare)? -BBQ's! -I've never worn a wet-suit and probably never will. Summer is about the only time of the year I surf in Japan. -This might be strange but my reggae music sounds better. Reggae in the snow doesn't match. -Fireworks. -Keeping all of the windows open to allow the house to air out. eh, that's it for now, Yep, roll on autumn!

soubriquet 0
Next time you're up this way Tsondaboy, pop into the shop and I can fix you up with one. I like the fertility, the way that snow covered landscape converts itself into jungle in about 3 months flat.
tsondaboy 0
What kind of place do you run soubriquet?
soubriquet 0
My partner has a cake store business, and they are part of the summer range.
tsondaboy 0
Well, now I have found a reason to go to Oishida. I consume enormous amounts of sweet every day, haven’t been for the gym I would be probably 100 kilos by now.
snobee 0
Drinking good ol' room temp red wine. Brings on a good sweat. Cold Beer's for the faint at heart.

If you think Hayama is Shonan, then it is in Shonan but I prefer saying that it is in "Hayama".
tsondaboy 0
I didnt say its in Shonan, I was just guessing. Never heard of the place before.
slow 0
That's why I go there. Less commercialized, good local community, best view of Fujisan and the most beautiful sunset. Maybe we can have a party there next summer if you like, tsonda. As for the word "Shonan", local people don't use this word because the definition of Shonan is too vague and we don't know where you are pointing at.
