Phantom Raspberry Blower 0
Sometimes lyrics to songs just baffle me. Take for example a song I just head. "The sun always shines on tv". I mean what the heck is that going on about. Let's wacky lyrics:
Jackie 0
That's AHA, isn't it? I was given an album (tape) of theirs when I was a youngster but I'm pleased to say that I was never a fan. On the radio I heard that they've just released something new. I think they're trying to say that life is shown to be wonderful on TV. Perhaps they never watch the news. Fossil 0
Ever checked out some of the weirder track names? For example Pink Floyd's Track entitled; Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together In A Cave And Grooving With A Pict, from the Ummagumma album

big-will 7
I think you might want to try The Cocteau Twins for weirdness. I think, well at the beginning anyway, she actually sang in "her own language" -ie one she made up.

ProbablyaCrazyPerson 2
Cocteau Twins, that brings back a lot of memories. I'll have to look them up again. They certainly were unique.

Colymbosathon ecplecticos 0
Aha have actually done some decent stuff you know. After their first teenybop phase they came up with some moody sounding pop - I had an album of theirs they did about 5 years ago and it was surprisingly good. Minor Earth or something it was called. One of those bands that just gets saddled with an image early on that they just can't shake off...

scouser 4
You really like Abba, don't you gamera. Must admit I don't dislike them myself, even though they sure aren't within my usual gang of faves and wouldn't fit well with most of them!

gamera 0
Who me? No, not joking. Singing some songs helps to improve your speaking skill in the language and that's how I have improved my English pronounciation. Need to sing kinda fast for Chitty chitty bang bang. Slower songs help much better like Carpenter's songs and e.g. this.

Thunderpants 0
KURT'S REJOINDER "Burger cruising just above the ground, ground, ground And gunner puts a burnish on his steel Anna with her feelers moving round, round, round Is sharpening her needles on the wheel. Burger Bender bargain blender shine, shine, shine And gunner burn the leader on the fuse Bundle up the numbers counting three - six - nine Here's Anna building webs across our shoes. Celebrate the loss of one and all, all, all And separate the torso from the spine Burger Bender bouncing like a ball, ball, ball So Burger Bender bargain blender shine. Do the Do-si-do, do the Mirror Man Do the Boston Crab, do the Allemande." Gotta love the surreal universe Brian Eno created in the 70s
egglesby 1
How about these: Black Box Recorder: The English Motorway System (Haines & Moore) Ah ah, ah ah Ah ah, ah ah The English motorway system is beautiful and strange It's been there forever, it's never going to change It eliminates all diversions, it eliminates all emotions (All you got to do to stay alive is drive) There are things we need to talk about There are things I cannot do without If you think the journey's over Let me know, don't make me wait (Driving with no aim or intention) On the English motorway The English motorway system can be quite hypnotising You achieve a Zen-like state, as someone else's driving It becomes detached observing, colours and straight lights Distant town and exit signs (Do you really want to break up?) There are things we need to talk about There are things I cannot do without Is this the end of the rainbow? Am I just colour-blind? (Leave the north, visit friend's at south) On the English motorway The English motorway system, is an accident waiting to happen On the black ice, a lorry jack knives, on there's freezing fog in November And you wonder if there's someone who really does decide I thought I saw you in a distance (Do you really want to break up?) There are things we need to talk about There are things I cannot do without When you think the journey's over Let me know, don't make me wait (Driving with no aim or intention) On the English motorway The English motorway system is beautiful and strange The English motorway system is beautiful and strange The English motorway system is beautiful and strange The English motorway system is beautiful and strange
