akibun 0
can of worms?
damian 0
Sorry Aki... it is a saying/idiom that implies that a topic or comment will reveal a far more twisted and tangled set of facts and theories. A "can of worms" usually contains disagreement and contentious opinions.
mogski 0
Very religious...about alcohol and skiing!
miteyak 0
I'm religiously atheistic. (with a horrendously strong christian upbringing). I guess one could call me a born again atheist.

snowboard_freak 0
Religious?? Hell no!!! I'm holding back in this thread, otherwise it really will get ugly. I think that the Eastern religion's in general are a lot more valid than the Western ones. LONG LIVE SATAN!!!!! Just kidding kids!!
miteyak 0
Yep, I agree, zen buddist monks who gamble, shag, extort, drive luxury cars and do bu**er all all day. Now THAT'S a religion!
Ocean11 0
And Shinto priests who wave scraps of paper on a stick for a living - they have certainly found the meaning of life and are leading many on the road to spiritual fulfillment...
Raury 0
I think of myself as a Celtic christian with bhuddist (sp?) leanings
danz 0
I am not "religious", although I have a deep respect for my religious heritage and history... religious fanatics bother me as much as those who are fanatically anti-religion... what is "real" is not the issue... there is much to be learned from religion, both good and bad... I could go on... danz

miteyak 0
Pretty much the only religion in the world that'll consistently produce offspring that stay away but don't stray! (i.e. a response like yours)
Yuki's Passion 1
Danz, I think thats a pretty good answer. I was raised Catholic but have many problems with the teachings. I think, as people, we have to take the basic foundations of any religion, and make the best of them. Taking the middle path I find is best and have found more spirituality in myself when reading books on taoism, buddhism, and confucionism than anything in the bible. Finally, I think GOD is too big to fit in one religion. Saw it on a bumersticker years ago but never forgot it. The extremes of anything are the worst.
