  1. Nothing particular to say right now (though I am enjoying a nice Aki Aji) but the Beer topic cannot be allowed to fall off the first screen
  2. Watched My Cousin Vinny again last night...great fun
  3. I'm amazed and impressed at the forbearance the little pissant received.
  4. If they are zombie vampire sharks heralding the arrival of the next ice age then that would be undead cool.
  5. Should've said, the two heat-tech base layers aren't to be worn at the same time !
  6. Uniqlo's heat-tech: 2 base layers & a fleece, cheap and good quality, buy on arrival at Narita. Buy a decent jacket and bring with you, also gloves and goggles, a helmet if you're nervous. IF you're spending a day in Tokyo, plenty of good discounted jackets, gloves, goggles (and helmets if you're the nervous type) can be found wandering the shops in Jinbocho. 12. Grolsh for Y118? Not a great beer but I'd go for that.
  13. Should be WELL before 9:30, given that first Asama gets you to Nagano at 8:03. I wouldn't think Myoko would be more than 20 mins further, even with a stop at Iiyama.
  14. Yeah, seems a very shortsighted scheduling decision. Hard to believe they couldn't at least have been ready by Feb. 1.
  15. I'd have to say taking a sickies just because you only had a couple hours sleep is rather irresponsible, unless of course it's a powder day!
