+1 for Blistergear; they're very good at responding to questions about the reviews, also. -

Ahhh, that'd be a `No' on that.

Yes, I think that's right. But the Omni-dry has worked just fine, even on some heavy wet-snow days. I'm not going to argue that it's better than Gore-tex, probably not even as good, but it's worked as well as I've needed. Same with Entrant, Skied for many years in a jacket that used Entrant and found it perfectly functional. And my favorite ski jacket has something called Diaplex and still works fine after 10 years (bought the Colombia when that one was out of commission for a while with a broken zip). I do have two pairs of gloves with Gore-tex, and both are excellent. **Edited earli

If you have underfloor heating might want to be careful about a plastic sheet.

Wanted: Winter Stoke!

I love that mountain. The bus rounds a bend as it gets to Shikotsu and suddenly you see this wall of pure white, and the Niseko ``it won't be long now'' feeling really kicks in. -

Tough audience, you guys

I've met Dave Spector, he's quite a nice guy and very interesting to chat with. You have to remember they're all actors, playing a role that sells. Disliking them for that is like disliking Gene Hackman because you saw The Unforgiven.

Warm hands and feet!

Thinnest ``smartwool'' type you can find. Thick socks do nothing to keep you warmer, they just make your boot fit worse.
