  1. eek, it's almost gone! Do you reckon there'll be any more snow falling in that area?
  2. The data from the hand and eye scans at Heathrow are deleted after 24 hours apparently.
  3. I remember when I was starting. Really good fun, but I was itching to get better and hit some more interesting looking slopes. Good luck Bob.
  4. Is it as good as the snow in Niseko? (not now of course, raining and all )
  5. Went to Kandatsu last week. I liked it. It wasn't busy, like on the photos muikabochi took, and the snow was still pretty decent. I liked the course top left that comes down to the quad. Great for speed.
  6. A friend is really into Nick Cave and gave me some of his CDs. Er, no thanks! Anyone heard the new Goldfrapp. Sounds interesting, though not sure what to make of it -very much a departure from the last album.
  7. When someone gets so filthy rich, what drives them to continue screwing and getting even filthier rich?
  8. Poor dog. I wish I had a dog. Used to love taking the family dog for a walk. The dog deserves all that sniffing time!
  9. A Fleming title - if only from a rather uneventful short story.
  10. I think those things are gross. You are joking, right?
  11. I was forced into wool as well as a kid. I think I just about survived without too much damage.
  12. Interesting that soubriquet thank you. You like doing that kind of thing?
  13. I watched Earthquake last night, a disaster movie from the 70s complete with cheesy acting and effects. It was quite compelling for some reason.
  14. Saw Green Mile last night. It made me quite sad at the end, especially as my granmother recently died. (No she wasn't a convict on death row!) Made me quite emotional.
  15. I wouldn't eat it if someone put it in front of me.
  16. Absolutely amazing story about a girl with 8 limbs, 2 spines, 2 abdominal cavities - she has a "parasitic twin" that didn't survive, but she absorbed the remaining parts of the fetus - going through surgery to get to a normal body, they hope. Amazing what nature is capable of. http://news.aol.com/story/_a/eight-limbed-girl-has-successful-surgery/20071106081709990001
  17. I hadn't really noticed the link until now. Interesting.
  18. Quote: and they need to communicate with thier kids Seems so obvious doesn't it, but for some it is just not happening. Next door to me is a couple with 2 kids. I say couple, but the father is hardly ever there. It's either business trip or he is coming back home at midnight every night after drinking and then going to work before the kids wake up. They hardly ever see the guy. Sad.
  19. I have never had poutine. Sounds like something I'd like to try though,
