  1. Wham I loathed thoes. Sour apples(not apple jacks) where the best childhood sweats.
  2. Maybe Guam, I might be going there in a few weeks so I will tell you how it is. I will start surfing this year once the sea warms up a bit
  3. Its crap because the fit 24 footage from several camera onto 1 standard 180 min tape that get recycled every week(i.e. they have 7 tapes) or every month. The point is making people believe that they are being watched. If you put money/something valuable in an obvious place in work, where people think they are being watched they wont touch it.
  4. soubriquet not that I am in the business of tapping stolen kegs( I am not even a huge beer drinker) In Tokyo its hard to find good tools. I dislike the traditional Japanese tools and getting into any kind of wood work / metal work is prohibitively expensive here, unless you are living out the country. Before I was thinking about setting up a hand made furniture 'shop' but it would initially more far too expensive.
  5. I don't know what they are going to do with a Keg, I wouldnt know the first place to buy a tap here. I know how to make them with metal working tools (there is a tool also called a tap for making threads for nuts) but that is anotehr thing you would find it hard getting in Japan.
  6. Importance of comma haha. Does, not being a porn actor conflict with going to church? So everybody needs to be a porn star? Maybe thats where priests get their jollies. Does not, being a porn actor conflict with going to church? The only real way to appreciate the "Body of Jesus"
  7. But all that "security" costs a lot more than what is stolen, and even with it people who are intendant on stealing will do so.
  8. To get a better idea use the urban dictionary http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=soccer+mom
  9. Thank you for the music...The songs were singing...
  10. scouser : I totaly forgot about lion bars. OMG I mentioned Turkish Delight as is was what the boy asked the witch for. I best one was the one covered with chocolate but the traditional one was also nice. I have never met an asian person who liked Turkish delight or Liquorice especially allsorts.
  11. Old Man River Some song from the 1920's I can even sing it like a black man. I heard it once in a film when I was about 8 years old and never forgot it. Also loved summer in city by Joe Cocker. It was on the first scene of a Die Hard movie. I plan on having Imagne played at my funeral. Nobody talking just that song and probably cremation.
  12. Mui- I dont find 1000 plus too bad, it makes the important ones stand out when sorting rather than if half the mails were junk.
  13. I think in many ways we have passed 1984, at least there was some underground resistance, but these days people who would resist don't have the energy to do so.
  14. In Japan there is virtually none even the ones in shops are fake. Last year I think the were actually banned in the kabukicho because of so much protest. If a camera talked to me, I would return at night with a petrol angle grinder and cut it down.
  15. 400 - 1000 work related junk mail. But its my fault. Usually messages such as "ping latency has reached the tresshold and a graph" 200 inter office mails that are in Japanese. 100 for viagra because somebody gave out the inter office mail address so something always passes the filters. by the time I have downloaded some there is the same amount of new ones on the server.
  16. Thanks mui, what I loved was when you take the shink from Tokyo the imidiate contrast between before and after the tunnel. It was like the chronicles of narnia now it looks like it was all a dream haha.
  17. I demand to see some pictures like the start of this thread haha.
  18. I often want to tip in Japan, especially if a taxi driver is especially helpful. But I don't think I would be very welcome in America, as a tip is recognition of good service, unless I am getting it, I am not going to fork it over. Though I am easy to please. Also my egalitarian side says if McDonald workers are not getting a tip, why should a normal restaurant worker doing a less than average job be entitled to one.
  19. I used to be great a wood work, I have made my own spinning wheel and loom. ( I sound like a granny or a quaker) But it does cost more than you think especially as you have to buy the tools from scratch.
  20. Scandinavian countries and Siberia, I don't see how its wrong when I eat cows and wear their skin. Its a double standard. Especially if you eat baby sheep, i.e. lamb. Putting baby in front of something makes it automatically bad. Besides they are not killing for fur in this case its to stop the decline in fish.
  21. Dvix is very susceptible to failing completely with even the smallest error in the file. Some players (software e.g. media player) wont play if even the file size is out a few bytes, some will play but as soon as it hits the error it is unrecoverable. It all depends on your source or if you encoded it yourself. h.264 is far better but its pretty rare to see in the wild. These days I want to buy a movie tank III or something like that. Since I have so many HDDs lying around
  22. Frank you can get those kind of beds in Tokyu Hands for pretty cheap.
