That sounds strange that they would go to such lengths to disuade people from going! I had a friend go to Naeba on Monday and he said it was excellent - and far less busy than expected.

I dislike both but I probably hate crowds on the slopes most. If its like negotiating yourself round a snow version of Shinjuku station at rush hour, wheres the fun?
