Looks a bit smelly as well that one. What does that katakana actually mean? It seems to be (pronounced) "smail"?

Well I'm sure every product has a few defects coming off the line esp. at the beginning. But it really sucks if you get one of them of course. Anyway, I've got a new Sony machine and initial impressions are good.

I can listen to music no problems, but when the drive is being accessed it makes a loud noise for a few seconds.... and does that when I'm uploading songs as well (which takes about 10 times longer than it did before). I suppose that all means the drive is on it's last legs and I'll have a dead ipod fairly soon, hey?

Thats how I came to Japan. Still doing it, albeit in a different capacity and a bit further up the ladder

That sure was scary and was a 4 where I was. I'd can't begin to imagine how I'd feel if there 10 more powerful within a day. That's nuts. I think I'd be on the first plane home after that.

I am always totally loaded down and way over my 20kg "limit". I'm surprised I've been able to get away with it until now.
