True Gamera, Hakodate absorbed a few smaller towns around earlier this year and recently Yakumo with another town merged as well. Anyway, woke up this morning and had to brush the snow of the car for the first time (have to change the wipers today). A couple of inches I guess and still coming down!

Actually I live in Kamiiso (next to Hakodate), but Kamiiso will unite together with the next town and will become the almighty Hokuto City........!

From what my mate said last year, a decent jacket might be hard to find. he said it was mostly dead/old stock and not much good. Still there maybe some bargains to be had!

Rafter, I live about 3hrs south of Niseko, I have been a few times but have lost interest in that area, crowded! There are plenty of places to choose from though! Most of the time I just go local, nothing special but it is way better than anything in OZ snow wise! Been here for 3 years now, lovin the winter!

No, that amount of snow is quite normal I think, atually on the news last night they said it was late come to think of it. But it doesn't sit until later on! Usually late December is when it really kicks in! (I hope so I haven't changed to winter tyres yet!) For clubs etc do a search as that question is asked about 4 times a week so I am sure you will find it somewhere on the site!
