  3. For all you kiwis out there, read on msn last night that Shihad are ditchin the name Pacifier and going back to their old name for their release of the new album in Oct. Good move boys. Pacifier was just abit pussy for a rockin band. Shame they changed it in the first plce.
  4. PS sorry about the spelling in the last post, not really with it today.
  5. If you have a high performance car definatly use hai oku, if you have a work horse of crappy car hai oku will blow all your gaskits in the carb as they are not made well enough to cope with the heat, also your head gaskit will go too. had a friend who used it in his older van and blew the haed gaskit, cost him ¥120 000 to get it fixed. If your unsure check with your local servo of petrol head. good luck.
  6. 13 degrees today in Hakuba, feels damn cold, raining too, definately a day on the couch cuddling the dog with a nice cup of hot choccy. Bring on the snow!

  8. BUY!! its a must, will cost less than renting and everyones right, the rental gear here is crap, if you cant see old stock in shops just ask, quite often its just sitting out back and doing nothing, most shops will be glad to flog it off cheap, yahoo auction is also a good place to get cheap stuff.
  9. My van takes regular, "hai oku" is high octane gas or better known in NZ, premium unleaded. What do you call it in other countries?
  10. Im ski instructing in Hakuba for a gaijin company this winter, really easy to get a job, as for the T.C. course, dont know, I did mine at Mt Hutt and you get very little work for really shit pay, on the flip side you get heaps of free riding time. Most ski and snowboard instructors are really poor, not a job to get rich at.
  11. Think summers made me stale, both the wife and I are making plans on how to "get back on the horse", I think that will happen when the snow falls. Maybe we`ve just done our time here.
  12. tried using real player and media player and it keeps starting to copy off the E drive in dvd mode then flicks back to cd mode and says theres no disk to copy onto, maybe it is the cheap disks.Who knows?
  13. Been watching them on my computer, but they take up heaps of hard drive space, also I want to keep copies to watch again on those crappy wet winter nights, maybe my burner doesnt like the cheapies as well.
  14. Been downloading Trailer Park Boys over the last few weeks and went to burn them but got myself quite lost. Ive got a built in DVD burner on my computer but as I am a numbskull on how to use it, its not really workin. Has anyone got any pointers or hints to help?My computer is a Sharp Meibus laptop and the manual is all in difficult Kanji.HELP ME!!
  15. how about rotary hoeing the stalks back into the feilds, then you have all winter to let it decompose also its natural fertilizer, much healthier than using chemicals, then you could even grow organic rice oneday!!
  16. now that its harvest time, every farmer round is burning their rice stalks and the beautiful valley of Hakuba is now choked out with smoke. Bastards.
  17. The first few weeks are pretty hellish if your not a skiier already but once you get the hang of it, it goes off!! remeber helmet and knee pads cos when you go down, you go down hard.
  18. skiied all my life. snowboarded thur high school as well as ski raced (I lived below a skifield) was sponsored by salomon for six years for both, on their test program but lost that when I came to japan. Now telemark ski most of the time, flagged the snowboarding as it was too easy, oh how I miss free gear, been teleing for 5 seasons now, never going back to snowboarding unless I have to teach a lesson. P.S. I'm broke, so maybe this season coming

  24. Knew my wife from junior high, but never hooked up until my 21st birthday,we were always in different countries after school.I actually ditched an old girlfriend to hook up with her (felt like a bastard for a while)but we would have got married 1 or 2 months after we re-met but we were too poor and wanted a good kiwi wedding. We waited about 2 years, and have now been happily married for 2 3/4 years.
