Were pretty sad to be leaving cos weve really built quite a good life here but it is time to move on. Were flying to Toronto to catch up with Grandma for a few days, then down to Chile for a week on the beach at Vina Del Mar then taking two months to drive south looking for a ski town to crash in for the winter. Must say a big thanx to all the people who have helped us and skiied with us, and stayed with us at the backpackers. Its been one huge blast, but it really is time fo
  10. Ive never taught english here and Ive been around for 3 years now. It pretty much depends on what your quals are and what shit jobs your prepared to do, and how little money your prepared to work for. All my jobs have come thru people I know setting me up. Heres a small hint. Get married and send the wife off to work while you play house husband and ski all winter, or for girls vice versa.
  11. Yeah man, Im up for it, dropped some lines yesterday up higher off skyline 1 but it was abit late in the day and thing were getting pretty goopy, Dave hiked up to the cairn just below Happo ike and his lines looked sweeeeeet! havent talked to him about the conditions up there yet but that might be a go this weekend. 13. Mrs Telleboy rips, I told her when we got married to either learn to keep up or be left behind, I think this was good motivation for her. I would have never left her behind (dont tell her that) but she needed a bit of a shove now its great to follow her thru the trees or powder for a change, I love watchin that @ss move!
  14. I wear a wooly with fleece on the inside under my helmut cos it aint got no ear flaps, its smelling pretty rancid after two winters, I started getting zits on my forehead so I washed it, made a difference but I think I need a new one.

  16. Hey Snowglider, Im still alive and kickin. Been way to busy to spend time on the forum. Im clockin about 60 - 70 days skiing so far. North side of Happo was sick today, a good 30cm of fresh from yesterday, FatTwins tracks out there showed he had a good time today too. He poached alot of the lines before me, was runnin abit slow after yesterdays awesome day. Ive been caught and buried 2x, they sucked, nearly pissed my pants in the first one, I had good friends, they dug me out fast!
  17. Rain just turned to snow, big fat wet goopy flakes but lets hope it keeps up.
  18. Man, its raining in Hakuba a whole 5 degrees, spewin that is not snowin yet, gonna head down to my workshop and drown my sorrows in beer while I tune Davos board and play with gear, Nothing else to do.
  19. In Hakuba there are only 2 bars that arnt your Izakaya style. Tracks bar below Goryu skifeild, and Snowdinn but I dont know if its opening this year. Tracks Bar opened on the 18 dec and has DJs or Bands lined up for most weekends this year, thats where Ill be hangin.
  20. Screw the christmas cake, Im gonna bake a Pavlova this year, good Kiwi pudding. Anyone want to come around for some?
  21. Not very often, Im kind of a blouse when it comes to the park. Gave riding switch ago last season and will hopefully get better at it this year, I like the pipe but big kickers are not relly my deal, I prefer rock and cornice drops as the landings are generally softer than a tabletop, I hurt really easy these days. Quick question, How many of you out there wear knee pads? Me, Iwear them everyday, once saw a tele guy who shattered his patella (Knee cap) vertically, man this guy was just lying there screaming cos his knee folded the wrong way, must have messed him up for a long time.
  22. Dude! I love my dog and all that, but that was funny Maybe Im a bit sick.
  23. Mr Wiggles, not long to wait now, hows the ankle so far this year? holding up? Anyone comin to Hakuba this year give me or the wiggleses an email and Im sure we can get a crew to go out there together.
