  1. Yes......Aliens travel the huge distances required to come to earth........and do nothing but make cool pictures in corn fields. I can see the reasoning in that! Face it guys, half the crop circles in the U.K were made by some guys with planks and rope, they filmed all of them and released the doco after many "credible" UFO experts had gone ape about the circles saying that they could not possibly be made by humans! A bit embrassing. Think about it. Dims
  2. Bring back Bez!!!!! Fill him to the gills with E and off he went, just like a wind up toy. Thanks for reminding me! I remember busting some Bez moves to ol' school Itchy and Scatchy in my day. Bez for Prez
  3. Just got back from Hawaii where I tipped 15% each time we went out to dinner. Service was always good so not a problem. However, you can't escape the logic of the arguement that places should just up the price and pay their staff a better basic wage! Save the guilt trip! In Australia there is no obligation to tip, but if service is excellent and added to my enjoyment of a good meal then I will tip, and only then! As for tipping the barman that's just horseshit (unless they are a hot lassie with great clevage and did all sort uneccassary bending over etc then tip city!) I also did not tip th
  4. Chauncey, Unfortunately I was there mainly for business as I had a conference in Waikiki. Only surfed one day at a point on the opposite side to Diamond head. The north shore was dead flat but still beautiful and peaceful after tokyo, and it was sort of cool just to visit Waimea bay, Sunset beach and Pipline after reading about them for 20 years. Spent four days at the surfhouse which is in Haleiwa (largest town on the North Shore area) on the river just after the Rainbow bridge. The surfhouse has campsites and private cabins set in a small friut plantation which is lit up beautifully at nig
  5. Just got back from Hawaii. I'd say its cheaper in Americia for most things, espically if you shop and do your own cooking. Eating out is a similar price in Hawaii, but the size of serves is sooooo much bigger. Love the North shore (Oahu) by the way, have to go back in Winter for the surf! If you ever go, stay at the surfhouse, the most chilled cool hostel ever! Dims
  6. db, This reminds me of a piss funny story back in Grade 11 & 12 days. A mates parents were going away for the weekend so the crew got together and decided to make the ol' devil tea from datura, seeing they had the weekend to get over it (big mistake). I decided to say no after hearing some serious horror stories and meeting some datura-inspired loonies in the local surf community, I got very drunk instead. Suffice to say, the tea worked a little to well. One guy ended up playing 8-ball with himself for a good 5 hours without sinking hardly any balls (cause he was wearing oven mitts), the
  7. "Home and Away" with the best character on TV, Alf. You flamin mongrels! (Toungue firmly in cheek) Dims Love the life you lead, lead the life you love!
  8. Ocean, As always you are a wealth of information. I'll be using the 'tawara' call from now on. Do they have a tawara musuem?
  9. Ahh merkins....... Merkin is up there as one of the best obscure words in the english language. Like pringles, once you start saying merkin, you can`t stop. Merkin... merkin.... McMerkin(our name for McDonalds for a while)
  10. Not missing much! Have had the odd giggle though!
  11. Well I was a bit bloody suprised when it was censored! What about merkin........ no...... no problems there! How about felcher... oops, there's one you've missed SJ
  12. Won the 4-day holiday in Niseko. Already going up for three days this weekend so I added the holiday and am now going up for a full week. Looking forward to the 2-day mountain tour with Niseko powder connection. Just hope we still gets some decent snow. I'll kill myself if I spend too long in the park. Thanks SJ!
  13. Quote: I think the French pretzel thing is funny. Americans are boycotting, hence not spending money to prove a point. The French are asking their brethren to spend money to make a point. Kinda of ironic in that either way - the french lose money. Yeah but ray, at least they get a ****** good laugh while doing it Whatever makes you feel better about it mate!
  14. Ocean, NOVA being cool. My GF used to work for them..... ahhhhh NOT COOL. I hope your tougue was firmly in your cheek with that call. NOVA.... short for No Vacation
  15. Mr Cash kicks arse, love that Soundgarden cover he did a while back. Don't knock the banjos either, great instument, great sound, more folk and bluegrass as pointed out by danz. It's the drawl, the twang and those sh#t-house lyrics I can't stand. And of course this is "just my opinion", whose opinion do you think I would be giving, my cats?
  16. I just think that one country boycotting another countries products/services etc. just because they have a difference in foreign policy is a bit harsh. Especially if the actions of one country is against the international community, based on scant or no tangible evidence, and in the long term will probably not be in the best interest or improve the security of the general populace of that country anyway. Oh and freedom fries sheesh, sometimes it's just too easy to laugh at the actions of some americans
  17. Let's face it, you gotta have a pretty good arse to carry off a g in my book. Don't mind a nice set of white cotton boy/hot pants, little cottontails All the better when they come off!
  18. Yippee!, I just found out I won the four day Holiday to Niseko. As I was already going up there from the 22-24 of March, I am going to tack it on to the end of that trip and be up there for 7 days. Second trip up there this year and I love the place. I certainly hope there is a least a few good snow falls left this season. The 2-day mountain tour that comes with the prize should be a hoot! Now I just have to con my boss to give me 5 days off. Thanks SJ!
  19. Be careful dude, if your vertebrae in the neck are really that bad you should get someone who speaks nihin-go to go will you to a specialist. You could be doing permanent damage! The headaches are not a good sign (if you are still having them). Think long term mate
