  1. God father is #1 rated movie on IMDB on the net. Cant go past Ben Hur for a classic, would love to see the chariot scene on the big screen.
  2. No joke I like some of the vintage Miller stuff. Big, steep and deep no flashy stuff just great music, great snow and plenty of time to dream
  3. Well New Zealand sucks ass as far as concerts go, thats the problem with splendid isolation, no band can usually be bothered to come and when the do they usually do a one stop show in Auckland, yet another reason why the rest of NZ dislikes Auckland. U2 came to Christchurch long ago, but I was too young Bob Dylan came 4 years ago. Saw him Pearl Jam in Osaka.... man! Ender you are really fortuneate to live in Seattle and see so many shows
  4. when I was a kid there was a rat the size of a cat living in our garage, so one day I sealed the garage but put a garbage can in there with the lid off, well ratty couldnt help himself in was in like flynn, I crept in the garage saw him in the bin and then slammed the lid on him. It was one of those 70 litres plastic bins, I drilled a small hole in the lid and then put the hose in and flooded him, when the water reached the top and ratty realsied his predicament, he went crazy, near popped the lid off in his desparate desire to get out. So he drowned and when I drained the garbage can.....very

  6. In NZ back in the 80's everything was choice could try other retro stuff like primo or wicked or sick or phat or butterluscious even just a plain old niiiice! maybe things are amping or for aussies bonza!
  7. just did some net research, seems I was alittle off base with the first post, A PAL vcr wont play NTSC unless its multisystem which Indosnm has. The NZ vieo was my flatmates so it must have been one of these multisystem. But I am sure my folks vcr plays NTSC and I cant recall anything sayings it multisystem, anyway The reason there is a difference in PAL and NTSC is PAL is 625lines of res and 25frames per second to NTSC 525lines and 30 frames per second. NTSC = Never the same colour seems the hues and colours are never as good as PAL There you learn something everyday
  8. I bought a brand called "I-O DATA" its a common local brand. Logitech was most expensive and Buffalo about the same as this one, but IO DATA is more compact and looks nicer with a silver aluminium casing than the bulkier Buffalo. It was 23000 or 24000 from memory. I thought 120 GB was enough for now. Also bought an external Cd writer 12000yen iodata again, like the HD runs on USB 2.0 and writes at 48X, which is smoking!
  9. Maybe you dont have to mate, NZ runs on PAL too and PAL VCRs are smarter and better than NTSC ones( NTSC Vcrs wont play PAL ), many of the later models PAL ones will play both, I know my old one in NZ did and that 3+yrs ago. NTSC is an inferior format that the Americans developed and Japan foolishly adopted.
  10. Bought a 120GB external Hard Disk. Vital if you want to store lots of digital movies on your hard drive, plus a back up copy of everything on teh regular hard drive in case it crashes. USB 2.0 is also cool, as fast as Macs "firewire"

  14. Oooh I HATE moskeets (local word) I hate, despise that high pitched `yyemmmmmm` as they buzz your head as you are trying to sleep. So spiders are free to do as they please in my place as they eat Moskeets. Frogs, bless them and bats! anything thats eats Moskeets has immunity from persecution from me, Roaches get smoked as too houseflys and wasps and moths that dive bomb my head. anything else is free to live.
  15. Ok ok some of you have taken the former title of this `fun` post too literally. I didnt mean it was THE greatest feeling to take a Sauna, it was a figure of speech so to say like for example `theres no better feeling than a cold beer after a long hot summers day`, or ` theres no better feeling than your team winning the (insert sport here) final`. Kind of like `he is a most interesting bloke` meaning very and `the most interesting bloke` meaning superlative, So the the title has been amended to appease those who think I am nut case for liking saunas better than than shagging the missus

Cool, a tri-quote. I only had protein shakes in the evening, closely followed by a pile of chicken, potato and broccoli, so no chance for cotton mouth. even cooler a quadruple quote!! anyway there is something about protein drinks the screws up my chemical balance

It never fails to amaze me that a nation such as America pretty much fails to field an international team. In defence of America I think this is a bit of a stereotype. The only real insular sports are American Football which is no more insular than Aussie Rules football in Australia and Baseball ( which is popular here in Japan and Canada). Ice Hockey is an international sport and the Americans and the Canadians do there darndest to beat eachother and all the Europeans with high calibre int
