  2. sigh, wish they would get with the program...we live in hope. Loudspeakers and idiots in white gloves...oh Joy Ren!
  3. in the past few weeks I have been sending messages on facebook to my friends, eliminates the problems of lost emails as you get a continous back and forward message system going with each particular individual: easier the track and see your messages with that person. emails are slowly dying under the weight of spam. 69, you should request a 'return receipt' so you can be sure your friends are really getting your mail or just saying that they didnt to hide their laziness. also are they hotmail addresses that are not getting the messages? hotmail is a hopeless dog of thing, many webs
  4. bit sad they decided to run the french audio this year on the subchannel of sky, it was always great to be able to watch and hear only the background noises, people cheering, cars, the camermans motorbike and no Sou desu ne crap on the regular Japanese audio. Still, would rather listen to the french commentators......
  5. Suits suck ass, so damn uncomfortable. Humans are a bunch of weirdos with their traditions and conventions like wearing suits.
  6. at 15000 yen for the Billys Camp package, who is stealing from who?
  7. if you get them just filter them out, no big deal. I use Rakuten all the time they are filthy cheap on almost everything. 2gig SD card for 2000yen was my last purchase from there. A massively discounted computer chair will be my next purchase. A few junk mails is a small price to pay for awesome bargains.

  10. Kimi aint called the 'iceman' for nothing, though he did smile last year when Brundle interviewed him in Brazil. I was having a ..... classic moment that. ITV is giving me the runs an the moment, They should rename the channel HTV - Hamilton TV. Mark Blundell wants to have his baby and James Allens nose is brown. Hamilton is fantastically talented and unique but he is way too nice and 'squeaky clean' I like F1 drivers with attitude (e.g Piquet)and a flaw or too (eg the Chin). Hamilton is so clean cut he's boring, though I do like the way he's getting under Alonsos skin and
  11. teen pleads guilty to aggravated robbery, kidnap, rape, unlawful sexual connection and aggravated burglary. Take at look at this prime example of the "oxygen thief" Sometimes you just have to shake your head in disappointment and wonder what goes through the mind of someone like that, what a complete waste of space. Some people get misguided and waylaid along the path and some it seems are just pure evil - depraved and irredeemable. At the very least he will becomes someones b***h in prison.
  12. I found myself a copy on the world wide web for the good lady and mentioned to a friend at work who mentioned it to another friend...I have burned 6 copies already! There is no shortage of demand for peeps after the bootcamp! Havent tried the routine myself I am on a medicine Ball work out routine at the mo' - made my own with sand and rubber balls. Its Bloody good exercise!
  13. one of Japans much hyped flops at the Turin Olympics: Mellow Imai the freestyle snowboarder it seem has apparently become a prostitute. Olympic snowboard starlet turning tricks on a downhill run guess there cant be much money for failed Snowboarders in Japan.
  14. Quote: 200 climbers welcome start of mountaineering season on Mt. Fuji SHIZUOKA -- Mount Fuji marked the beginning of the summer mountaineering season on Sunday, with about 200 people gathering at the summit to welcome the sunrise. The climbers lifted up their arms and cheered as they witnessed the first gleam of the rising sun from the 3,776-meter peak at about 4:30 a.m. This year a lot of snow remained on the peak, but workers in huts on the mountains cleared away the snow to allow climbers to make the ascent to the summit. Among the climbers was a 21-year-old female un
  15. interesting race, how about Kubicas wreck? Holy cow, a lesser crash killed Senna, Ratzenberger and others. Amazing how strong cars (or the cockpit anyway) are these days, a real credit to the safety pushers in the sport. He got out with a sprained ankle! hes lucky boy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmnLoCDHZfQ (many F1 videos get quickly taken down on youtube, but new ones pop up -so just search "Kubica" if that one disappears)
  16. Hisashiburi people - Bushpig you lazy bum do a search before posting aye? Lasik thread that was already on this forum ;-) (p.s. dont like the new seach page, the older was much better simplier and much easier to use and find your results: it took me bloody ages to find that thread!) added to my experiences all readable on that other thread, my eyes are still better than average - I can see the second from bottom line on the Japanese Landolt ring eye chart (normal is the fourth from bottom line) My night vision is great again! dont know why but it flucuated a bit a few years a

  19. Googles? I just bought pair of Smiths 1500yen , double Lens - an excellent buy except for the hidous colour of the frame and strap but who really cares? The 7 season old Smith V3's have been finally benched. You cant beat Smith - for googles or Sunglasses. The googles do the trick, comfy and no fogging and dont have a 10000yen 'O' badge on the side. Last sunny day I rocked the sunglasses, it was a refreshing change cruising on the groomers - eyes watering.
  20. When I was Gondy-op in Colorado on pow days we (other gondy-ops) we ride up in the first cabin as one of our work mates checked the line, the gondola then stopped running. we would then rip down the front side of the mountain, which especially gratifying at you reached the Gondola station and there were a 100 eagre punters waiting in line drooling and watching you come down the mountain. Finally to cap it off we would sneak in the yet to be opened Gondola terminal and then jump on the first cabin. Two 'first' cabins on a powder day plus then first runs on the back mountains - it was glorious
  21. Quote: How many of us have had close calls running through trees? Thats why I wear a helmet. What would be truly sad is if this guy wasnt wearing one, he still may have died with a helmet, but if didnt have one he didnt give himself that extra chance.
  22. Some perspective: 62 Australians died over the recent holiday period in Austraila - 62. Why does reading this thread feel like this guy was something really special? is it because he a skier and we feel some connection to him? like we knew him? One Australian (who likely none of us knew) dying on ski mountain in Japan, is it more tragic than a car accident? It is sad and terrible news undoubtedly and I dont wish it upon anyone but did he die doing something noble? he was one unlucky guy persuing his selfish leisure activity and he came to grief, reading this thread I feel like I am reading a
