I did my shoulder in Hakuba on the first day of my hols last April. It is about 95% OK now. Like you I was kept awake at night and could not comb my hair properly I gave it 4 weeks rest and then went to the gym to find just what I could do with it I found exercise that did not hurt and worked on them.I went to a Sport Injuries Clinic and had a couple of sessions with them. They were suprised that I had no muscle deterioration If you have done the ligament it will take a long long time to heal.

The highest point in the UK is Ben Nevis It is less than 1400 M.It dose get snow but not for long Once you have skied something decent you get spoiled. I think the resorts in Scotland are OK for learning. If you want good long runs you have to go abroad I have my one big holiday a year and go skiing.When I did not have a lot of money I used to go to the Easten block.You got value for money.Some of the food was a bit rough But the drink was cheap.In Roumania they were serving scotch at £1 for 100ml that is a quadruple and it was the reale thing.

I was in Hakuba in April last year 47 was OK. Because of my work I can only ski at the end of the season.So I will be there again for the first two weeks in April, with a bit of luck.
