Thanks again guys. there is just so many places to ski in Honshu!! I don't know which one to pick, heh. I'll be staying witha friend in Shizuoka shi so I wana find a place within an hour or two train ride(shinkansen) of shizuoka. I guess I should avoind nagano if I'm trying to get away from the crowds huh? Thanks

Thanks for replying so soon My heart isn't set on Gunmma but from what I've heard, it seems like a nice place. When you say gunmma is ok in march just what do you mean by "ok"? Dose OK=slush? Hi guys. I'm coming to Japan in early march to stay with my friend for a couple weeks and I would like to get in a day or two of snowboarding. How is the skiig/snowboarding in march? can someone recomend a resort with low crowds and good powder and nice backcountry runs? How is Gunma in march? Any info would be great!! Thanks

Hallo I had a question. I'm sorry if it was already asked. I'm planning to come to japan and stay at my friends house in Shizuoka-shi from early to mid march. Is there still good snow on honshu in march? is it all melted? If there is still good skiing to be had in march, can someone recomend a good resort? To answer your question my Gf is japanse so her jp is perfect so she can get instruction while I hit the fluff . me on the other hand? ...well that's a differnt story, haha! I deffinately wana get away from the Tokyo crowds!!! How far is Nozawa by tran from Tokyo or shizuoka? What about Gunma and shiga? how are the crowds? Arigatou Richard

Hallo snow bunnies!!! I'm planning to visit Japan this late January or early febuary to see my Gf and I'd like to get in a day of snowboarding while while I'm in town. Can someoen recomend an uncrowded ski/onsen town? My GF never skied a day in her life so I'm looking for a beginner friendly resort but also some long fun runs for me Also, can I rent a size 11 snowboard boot? japense have little feet so I'm not sure if they would have my ultra gaijin size boots I would just like to get an idea of what to expect abput skiing in japan. Any dvice anyone could
