There is no nightlife in Shiga Kogen. But it is a good place to be. Some areas don't allow snowboarding (Okushiga / Kumanoyu / Yokoteyama) but it still leaves an impressively large area. (Not sure about parks there)

It will put some people off but it will not put another kind of skier or boarder off.

Don't know. The most famous I think are in Zao (Yamagata) but I have seen some crackers up at the top of Shiga Kogen.

It was terrible. Don't watch it - it taints the classic original.

Outside of summer months I kinda like wearing suit and tie. I look good in them.

I'm looking forward to next season - and highly expectant after last seasons blowout - but going to enjoy summer and fall as well. Especially once I get out of Tokyo for a month in August
