Pity about that top right part though it looks like you can ski a bit of it before having to turn back. So the Gondola, the top pair lift and that top right pair lift are gone (or dormant) at Iwappara with just the quad lift servicing the top half?

Just because lifts are operating doesn't necessarily mean that the gondola isn't affected by wind. I don't know in this case, of course....

What's the effort involved for you ippy to get to Nozawa, time wise?

Personally I'm kind of glad that this weekend doesn't look too hot. Too busy clearing things up. The weekend after, now that is a different matter. Hope it's good for everyone though.

Perpetrated by who? Compared to most other places, it is gaijin town. It is a fact. If you want to go a place where the people are mostly Japanese, choose any place other than the 'big names' - especially Niseko.

There's still a lot of local loyalty going on with elderly here. You know the conked out shops you see in town centres. When that generation goes and all that remaining loyalty with i, they certainly won't be able to survive. I get the feeling lots of those were run almost like hobbies anyway.

rider69 knows everything, so it shouldn't be much of a surprise at all. I would suggest that these peasant-like 'average riders' actually seeing 'higher beings' ducking ropes at their favorite resorts and not knowing anything about it, perhaps thinking it is ok to follow them rather than know that they are being douchebags, is 'more dangerous' than having just a bit of knowledge on the ins and outs of the situation.

I suppose it would be if it were in any way relevant. Touchy!
