  1. I'm not a veggie, but often do actually choose veggie meals on menus when I'm back home. They are often some of the best out there.
  2. I was up there yesterday, bit of a waste of time. Strong winds stopping the lifts, open late afternoon in the evening. Good snow overnight and today though.
  3. Quote: We got more yesterday/last night than the whole month of Feb combined. Pretty sad. Thats wild. How much do you usually get in a season where you are then? Are the mountains also below 50%?
  4. They showed about 5 of the episodes on Wowow a few weeks back as a Michael Moore special - they showed Bowling and 2 other of his movies as well. Nothing since, I think it was just a one off.
  5. It certainly seems like a warm one right now, hopefully we'll all have forgotten about that in a few days when it starts dumping down on us again. Keep those fingers crossed, we can't be in spring mode yet.
  6. Go through periods of liking them, then not - depending on how energetic I'm feeling, the snow conditions.. If you get a good mogul run in, it can feel amazing. Learning to navigate them in the first place though is a complete pain.
  7. Looking like rain tonight in Gunma/Niigata. If it doesn't turn into snow tomorrow, I'll be having a lie in. Sorry, don't know about the haruichiban meaning.
  8. Fattwins My facts are not bogus. I am saying what I see, and what my Japanese friends see. (But of course, maybe because this differs from what you think you will not accept it.) As for the Evergreen thing - what do you honestly expect at a place that specialises in these things, one that is based in Japan? I am sure there are more Japanese than foreigners there - and I'm sure that Dave wouldn't be too happy if he didn't have all those Japanese customers. So - what's your point?? And what akemi said is not in the least bit "racist".
  9. Yes but that is hardly the point, now, is it slow? It "looking good" does not make it ok.
  10. Who's the Q directed to? Anyone it applies to. I know of only one or two Japanese that go off-course. The vast majority of places that I go to - in Nagano, Niigata, Gunma, Yamagata - when I see someone off course it is invariably a foreigner.
  11. Who was the best is purely a matter of opinion. The fact is, Brosnan is the most successful 007 of all.
  12. So, you really don't think that there are relatively way more foreigners doing the off course thing than there are Japanese? If you really believe that, you are just simply incorrect. Of course there are Japanese doing it as well, but for the small numbers of foreigners in total, relatively the numbers doing it way outnumbers Japanese and it is very reasonable for some places to feel that there is a problem. And before people start with the silly "racist BS" card, they should actually look at their own behaviour and those around them to see why things might be happening.
  13. Yes, good point. I forgot to say that too... try to talk with them and be positive rather than being 'enemies'. The patrol are just doing their job.
  14. Yes, you can see them building it coming out from Nagano towards Iiyama.
  15. Well, if you are not supposed to go there, they have told you more than a few times not to go there, and you still persist in going there - it seems very reasonable that they might be getting fed up and trying to do something about the situation. Don't you think?
  16. Like I said, not that childish. And, I suppose, basically I really couldn't give a shit. I thought you'd buggered off anyway....
  17. .....And if I were less of a "nice person", I might be tempted to copy and paste some of the whinings and "dented feelings" complaints that apparently you have sent into Snow Japan asking them to edit or delete me - but I wouldn't stoop so low or be so childish.
