I seem to remember someone saying that after a certain time of renting (10 years) then there's some guidlines about acceptable wear and tear and as long as you haven't wrecked the place, you will be ok. Then again, I might well have been totally imagining that!!

I had a vindaloo ages ago. It must have been on the mild side, it was actually really good. Is it just me or does beer not go well "cooling down" curry hotness? Water does it for me, but beer doesn't seem to have much effect.

My laptop seems to be struggling these days. The fans are making a racket pretty much all the time and sometimes it goes for periods when I can pretty much not do anything it is so unresponsive. I have tried getting some dust out of vents and stuff but doesn't seem to make much difference. Throwing it out of the window aside, any top tips? Or am I just in need of a replacement. I suppose I've had it 3 years perhaps it is time

Comparison with last year is an embarrassment

Went to see Les Miserables yesterday. GF dragged me. Wasn't mad on the idea. Was strange and took a bit of time to get used to, never really liked the idea of people singing the story. But I got into it and ended up really liking it. Vaguely aware of the story and some of the main songs before going.

This is what it says on the BA site when you look up a flight. Government taxes and fees for the entire journey are approximately ¥71280 - ¥82600 per adult and are excluded from the prices above. Why the range? For a specific flight I ask for. Or is that the same whatever I search for?

Oh dear you are going to get some complaints about those last few sentences. I like Nozawa. I wouldn't say it's 'beautiful' though. Cute village with an atmosphere, but outside of the little main area it's just like any other Japanese village or small town - not that attractive at all. Of course everywhere always looks much nicer in winter.
