So I was living in Thailand until last fall, then came over here. I hear a lot about how hot it gets here. Just how hot then? Unbearable?

When I was in Thailand I used to just go back 'home' once a year, but I probably won't go back until 2004 - still settling in here.

I'm thinking of taking a trip to Naggers just before GW, and was wondering where will be the best place to do some last riding on the snow. It seems that the snow at Shiga Kogen is better than Hakuba even now. Which would you be planning to 'do'? Cheers

OK I'm getting a car and it seems the shaken on it will cost something like 140000 yen. I've heard stories about shaken, none that have explained to me in any clear way just why is it so expensive? Is it just a big scam, like I feel it may well be?
