There seems to be so much secrecy about private lives here. Like if you ask someone where they went on their holiday or something like that it becomes a big mysterious conversation where they try to get out of it. Wierd. Is that normal or just my experiences ?

So I'm ok with my international surely. I'm in Japan about 10 weeks of the year, but in spurts of 2 weeks at a time. That sounds like a real pain for you gaijin residents.

I'm not in Japan all the time, but I am always amazed at how loud it it. Loud and uninvited noises everywhere - one of the things I don't like about the place so much. Do Japanese people not mind?
