I read in the UK that some roads are soon going to be 20mph limit (from a previous 30mph limit). There's such a thing as too slow.

With this system, what happens if you are unavoidably delayed and turn up back at your car, say, 2 hours later than you should. Do they fine you or can you just pay the difference? I can understand with the frustrations of the pay and display system, but you should be happy that there is often a good choice of parking available. (We don't quite have as much space here!)

Nice find.

(I appreciate they might be causing problems to some but...) I'd love to see lots of wild kangeroos jumping about. That would be awesome.

Hey everyone, snowglider buys and eats spam!!

I'm with you guys on that. But does all the bullshit work? I suppose it must, meaning that more will probably do it and it will no doubt get worse rather than better. The 2 biggest annoyances are: - ridiculous and outlandish laughable slogans; - outright lies that are told.

Quote: For me it doesn’t mater how crowded the train is. If I see an elderly person with a cane straggling to stand in a crowded train I stand up and give away my seat. This is the way I was brought up by my parents and this is the way I wanna bring up my children too. I feel exactly the same

There may be no problems with the snow but the important point here is - is it worth a very long trip from overseas to get there? I would say most definitely no. (Unless you have too much money and too much time!) -
Good movies you've seen recently

I watched Cars last night. It was ok but definitely not as good as the other excellent Pixar films. -
Room mates are a difficult one. Growing up in your own room at home and then having to live with some geek suddenly going to college can be a traumatic experience.

I have a few friends whose ipods have died on them within a year. It seems to be fairly common.

keisharyo - isn't that what the small "k cars" are??

The original The Wicker Man was really good. Its like the Omen. What is the point? I suppose with the Omen the point was simply the marketing potention of the 6/6/6 date. If you had seen the original watching the new one was a case of waiting for the scenes you knew were coming.

I watched The Wizard of Oz last night. As naff as it is, I enjoyed it. Last week I also watched The Great Escape. Now that is a classic. -
Are those ad-skipping machine things accurate in what they do?

I didn't realise it was that far. Which route do you take?
