I was really shocked at how dirty our place was once everything was out and we had to give it a bit of a clean before leaving. Yikes. We were living in that?!

As I am nearer to Yuzawa now than before, I am hoping to get over that way a fair few times this season.

Well, actually good question. They seem to give us basic support on the overall house for 10 years, though I presume that covers things like structural stuff. One thing we had develop was a small squeek on one stair - I told them and the next day the carpenter came and fixed that for us no fuss. All of the things we ordered and have will be covered by their manufacturers guarantees - which is what has been used on a few other things like this door that was replaced. Ijust told the building company and they got the necessary people to come. And they turned up as well to check all was good.

The company we used seem busy. They have been here today again, a door being replaced and a few odd things here and there that need sorting. Was talking to the guy seems they have a few projects on the go. Overall, very happy with them. They are attentive to my obssession with wanting everyhing as close to perfect as possible. I know it's a battle I can't win 100%, but I can't imagine all companies would have ggiven the same experience.

I am trying to find some nice big fluffy quality cushions for our large sofa. All I can find is cheapo rubbish ones, which is somewhat frustrating. Anyone able to suggest good ones?

I think we have had this before, but in Japan is it actually acceptable for people to ring the door bell, a few times, not get an answer ---- and then proceed to try and open your front door anyway? If I don't answer the door, does it not indicate that I am not in? (Or perhaps I am otherwise engaged so I don't/can't to answer the door)? Why try to open the door? Winds me up something bad. And any other good "acceptable or not" scenarios!

Well, it seems that I was missing a trick with a little gizmo switch thing that I knew nothing of and can't remember being told about. While it hasn't been quite as cold, the last few days we haven't had it the same. Have asked them about that reader actually Mr Wiggles. We'll see what it says. Whatever we do, the building company have been brilliant about anything I have told them about. We even had our complete front door replaced because of some (very) hard to see marks on it. There's no worries about replacing stuff if there's something 'faulty'.

Non of the other rooms have any. Could it be that you have a faulty window in that room? No.

Our windows are fine. They are good quality ones - actually the higher standard of the range - not some cheapo alternative. As I have said it's the few windows in the same one room, our bedroom. Don't unduly worry about it.
