Big-will, not like Ezo=Ainu. I think Ezo means more like some specific region. But my dictionary says. Ezo is originally from "human being" in Ainu language. People who lived around northern Kanto area or northern like Tohoku or Hokkaido who didn't obey the Imperial Court by resisting a lot. So, I think in ancient time Ezo could mean some people but nowadays it could mean something special from Hokkaido. Ezo itach = special wasel in Hokkaido. Ezo wakame = special wakame in Hokkaido. I don't think there's any Ezo gamera though.
