  1. I don't think so, hashbrown. Most ski slopes in Japan allow snowboarders to hit. Perhaps there are still some "skiers only" areas though. But I guess it's rare as far as concerning Hakuba area. I hear sometimes people say that kind of things for Nozawa though. I think Montoya can advice you some about Kagura.
  2. Kidding, Kintaro?? Zao-Eboshi, right? Usually 240cms at this time of the year but now 60-80cms??
  3. Big-will, not like Ezo=Ainu. I think Ezo means more like some specific region. But my dictionary says. Ezo is originally from "human being" in Ainu language. People who lived around northern Kanto area or northern like Tohoku or Hokkaido who didn't obey the Imperial Court by resisting a lot. So, I think in ancient time Ezo could mean some people but nowadays it could mean something special from Hokkaido. Ezo itach = special wasel in Hokkaido. Ezo wakame = special wakame in Hokkaido. I don't think there's any Ezo gamera though.
  4. Hummm maybe some gas or high temperture comes out? #1.Muikabochi, are there some Zazensou there? They run a temperture and melt snow by themselves. But not whole winter..... #2. How about kun-tan (smoked rice shell ) ?
  5. Wow too professional, Soubriquet. I almost rolled my head upside down to see the map coz the kanji in it is upside down as the map is from NE.

  7. Maybe normal if it's in some big cities like where you live. Abnormal in countrysides like where I live. Not so many places to visit for shopping. But we have some particula chirashis which you never get in cities like chirashis for agricultural machines and snowblowers.
  8. Obinata outdoor one is now available, miso. I am not sure if it's good time to try it... maybe a bit too cold to do. One question - is it natural for you to fart even when you talk with someone? Sometimes I have that kind of persons... lol Kind of cultural difference...?
  9. Uh Oh looks you have all oyaji qualification, soubriquet!. Damn looks nice pow. Wish I could make it to visit some other area in winter to enjoy different slopes not only Hakuba area.
  10. Quote: Originally posted by Ocean11: gamera, surely a small "Sorry, Japanese only" sign on your door would solve most of your problems? Nah not really, that is not my way. Perhaps I am too careful.
  11. You really like Tsugaike, Thunderpants. Did you try helicopter ski/snowboard?
  12. They were almost English spams but nowadays I get Japanese spams as well which say something like Meet some high school girls Keep some women as your slaves You are just one click away from our program which enables you to earn million yen a month etc. Strange how they got my provider e-mail account I seldom use.
  13. Dimpled thigh!?!?!? What's that? I think a dimpled chin is only some western men have? Have never found any women and other men have it yet. Maybe a bit difficult to shave there?
  14. Yeah Indo. I wondered coz if I remember right you have talked about your kids some times in this forum and then why "first" kid!?!? - I was not confident coz nowadays I forget a lot more than remember. I hate my oyajiness.
  15. Oh didn't notice it. Have to be careful about the date
  16. Thanks all. I think I just need to know the proper temperture for public space. People from cold place like Canada, Scandinavia say it's too warm, while people from warm place like India say it's cold.
  17. I saw a TV program in which a hairy back man asked his girlfriend to scratch his back coz he said he felt it a bit itchy. She looked kinda tiresome and pulled his shirt up and saw Merry me which his friends had drewn there by shaving some. I thought it was cool, she started dropping tears with joy saying " been waiting for the propose, almost giving up coz you have not mentioned anything about that" I can not do that coz my back is not hairy.
  18. I think a train ride from Nagano to Yudanaka costs around 1,000 yen per person for one way. So you can save some compared with all the way by taxi?
  19. Apple Blueberry Kiwi Strawberry Rasberry Mulberry My favorite is blueberry jam.
  20. Yep, in this kind of case, usually the assailant doesn't have any sense of guilt. In short, no subjective symptoms at all which we call sick. How do people solve this kind of problem if it's your country? Kintaro - maybe the wife ( your mom-in-law?)has already used to it or gave up ? Bet they live in hyakudai (1/10 of 1000 for SENdai lol....sorry for an oyaji gag)
  21. Bushpig, maybe because you are still young enough to go back to sleep in that situation. I could do that in my '20s but not any more. Once I wake up, it's hard for me to go back to sleep now. I think this started at my '30+....
