  1. It's both, but you probably knew that already :-) As I'm from NZ it's 3 Feb 2013 to me, but my brother lives in LA so he might have other ideas.
  2. Justified is a very very good show. Just started season 4. This show is about U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens, a modern day 19th century-style lawman, who enforces his brand of justice to put a target on his back with criminals and puts him at odds with his bosses in the Marshal service. As a result, he gets reassigned to the U.S. District covering the town where he grew up. And don't forget both Dr Who and Top Gear will be back very soon.
  3. The cops around here only seem to pullover someone when they are bored. I've seen them just drive past school kids and say something over the loud speaker. Even when pulled over people don't take much notice, seen them wait for the cops to drive off then off they go again.
  4. The thread on jackets go me thinking. What do you wear when you go out on the slopes? Are you into the latest fashion, or like me, wear an 8 year out jacket brought at the outlet mall. (a very good Columbia jacket with a zipped in thermal fleece jacket, however the colours are dark green and black, not that fashionable) I'm also interested in what is under that fashion statement. What do you wear under your jacket to keep warm. I wear a couple of layers of heat tech from Uni Qlo. (note if you wear your old granddads woolen underwear please don't tell us) The heat tech works well, but i
  5. and a cute Japanese girl on the back! Just don't let the cops catch you, the girl would have to be very young for the ride to be legal. (which might make other ideas very illegal)

  7. Columbia jackets are very good. They have a range of types, the top of the range being very very good. Most will take a fleece jacket zipped inside. Most of the outlet malls up here have a colunbia store so they can be picked up for a reasonable price.
  8. As it's a Politician doing the deciding, the answer is to raise the ceilings, after all, they are all full of shit, so a bit more won't make any difference
  9. Yes please, even though many of the tips seem to be recycled from the early 90s when I was in England and read Viz I still enjoy reading them. So if you get a bit of free time please post the new top tips, thanks
  10. If you need anti virus for Windows, try Microsoft Security Essentials. Works well, I install it on all the PCs I "build" and have never had anyone get a virus.
  11. I don't think anyone except the ski patrol at the actual resort has the knowledge of which rope is OK to duck, but what I get from reading all the posts in this thread is that people are ducking the ropes. Some who duck them are experienced skiers/boaders with training and gear for the conditions, and some are Mr/Mrs Average who want to find the great snow they saw on the youtube video last week. The point is that dispite the ropes, the pulling of passes and the bollocking from ski patrols, people will jump ropes. Maybe a little more info about why the rope is there will educate and maybe
  12. gozaimaas, I'd just like to add my "oh my gosh, that's fantastic" to the above comments. I know nothing about snowboards, but once made a skateboard (35 years ago), so I can appreciate the work and time you put into this. Looks great, and I hope it rides like the wind.
  13. Gave our apartment a good shake. Seemed to come in two waves, with the second one a bit bigger
