Terrible news, I know someone who lives very close to that area that got destroyed. They were lucky to be unaffected.

I think next season will see an increase on this season when considering the overseas market. This season too many people cancelled out of worry, but I think that memory will have faded somewhat.

That is encouraging to hear Metabo Oyaji. Those numbers perhaps even better when you consider the school groups not going - they are generally 'cheap' customers from what I gather.

I like to play badminton and tennis. And I like to climb mountains, though nothing too serious - more like sightseeing/trekking. As for watching I do enjoy watching big football games.

Three good places I think, but will depend on what kind of resort you looking for - I presume you have taken a look at them all. You can either go the fast way direct up the expressways, Appi is just off the Tohoku Expressway up there, or go cross-country and see more of the country. That will depend on timing etc.

As the daily report here says, quite a few lifts now closed for the season. Still a large area open though.

My photographer friend has also ordered one muikabochi. His local shop do not know when they are due to get stock, so all he can do is wait. He seems very excited about this new camera though. Hope you get yours soon.

I think I heard that the Tenjindaira gondola is the same as the top one at Zao. Perhaps Zao runs theirs slightly faster - busy all year.

I can't see it here as copyright taken down or something but I saw on Japanese evening tv program last week. I don't think I would be standing watching like that!

Just to add yes it seems strange that they only offered that. Was it actually shops that did that, or the hotel you stayed at - which might explain it more.

There were a few little events going on yesterday to commemorate the 1 year of the March 11th earthquake. It was quite quiet as well, I thought. One year ago! Time goes so so quickly.
