Family trip at Iwappara

Yes it's actually a bit boring for me though the top part is usually good when there is fresh snow. I prefer more of a challenge, but I'm with the family, so... ! -

Last week my family went to Yuzawa and Iwappara resort. I think it is a good place for beginners and my younger daughters really enjoyed it. Snow was not so good, I feel more like March than January and I feel not so much more than weeks before when we were at Joetsu. I worry about this season how long they will open if we do not get more snow soon. It was also very quiet. But we enjoyed the pizza in Pittore, it is good restaurant!

My laptop is quite powerful one and my normal battery lasts just over 2 hours. It's ok though, because I don't usually need it without adaptor.

My children love the Wii machine but even more so the DS. I try to limit their time with it.

You have big choise for these * Close to Tokyo (within a few hours on the Shinkansen, e.g Nagano area) * Snowboarder friendly * Beginner to Intermediate friendly Any of Hakuba, Yuzawa, Myoko, Shiga Kogen, Minakami is good. But the other thing may be more difficult unless you want to discover "local style" rather than popular bars etc.

Hello. I like play guitar. I recommend starting out with something like Epiphone Les Paul Heritage + amp.... I think you can maybe do that for around 40,000 yen and it is decent guitar and you can have a lot of fun. Go into a big shop and have a play!

how are the crowds this year?

I was surprised at how few people yesterday. Joetsu Kokusai was busier on Sunday even with the terrible weather condition then. I expect the next few days into weekend to be very busy, but I am not doing 'family duty' -

Yes we enjoyed it. I think it is better resort than Joetsu Kokusai. It is also many pretty view of surrounding. We had fun with shadows on the lift I put more photo in gallery. I think next time ski for my family is 2nd week of January. Have good new year everybody. -

Hello joshnii Variable. In some parts it was very good but in others quite heavy. Weather was changeable also, sometimes wet snow, sometimes clear, often very windy.
