Well yes I know that, but as we are talking about a small neighbourhood and I see the things they spend whole evenings discussing - I'm fine with that. And as I have no children and not particularly keen on children, I'm not bothered about that world either.

I take part in a few things but not all. I doubt they'd want me at the weekly (monthly?) meetings anyway, and I'm sure I don't want to go! Local matsuri is fun though and I'll do a bit there.

Hi bugbear Yes they are connected - as is Yuzawa Kogen to the other end of Gala Yuzawa, which is 'the middle one' - but it's not full season. Usually around late December until late March I think. You can buy tickets that cover the whole area, though I reckon it's too big for one day unless you're just trying to cover it all.

Not really keen Tashiro. I find it a bit boring and it takes for ages to get over to Kagura and back.

CDs aside what is the best quality source? Are mp3s or whatever as good now? I'm old school Cd me, don't know much about all this new stuff.

Nice report Black Mountain. I too haven't been to Kagura this year. Not keen on Tashiro, it's the main Kagura bit for me. And yes Ninjintei is good!
