Tubby Beaver 209
When I walked my dog the other day by the rice fields a stray firefly actually flu onto my hand briefly before going its own way. That was a really cool experience, although every year we see them flying around the river behind our house this was the first time to have one touch me. I've carried a firefly home on my finger to show the missus before. It was well over a kilometer. thats a big firefly!!

muikabochi 208
Lots of fireflys out now every evening. Rode past the "Hotaru no sato" and there were a few coaches of people there. Last night was beautiful. Still fairly light at 7:30pm and not a cloud in the sky. Lovely.

muikabochi 208
Went for a 2km walk tonight in the heavy rain. Took the torch. Boring and so decided to count the frogs on the road. This is a back road and no cars passed me during the walk. I counted over.... 1000! frogs!

cal 6
Sunds like its a good job they hop onto the road and get squashed, otherwise we'd be overrun with frogs!
