After that warm day yesterday, it's all somewhat colder this Friday morning. And I'm happy to report that snow started falling this morning and it is coming down now.

The snow continued yesterday and we pretty much avoided rain up here and even got a few more cm out of it in places.

It's one of those days when it's clear how things are going to be right from the get go and some early morning light blue skies all around.

The clouds moved back in yesterday and started to bring us some more snow. Probably 5-10cm or so in places and it is snowing still this morning in Shiga Kogen.

We probably clocked up another 10-15cm of snow yesterday, but the clouds have moved on by this morning and we are left with lots of blue sky above Shiga Kogen and the sun is out doing it's thing.

More snow this morning. It's really coming down here in Maruike as I write this. Heavy snow, moderately strong winds and visibility very poor.

Change again this morning as Shiga Kogen is covered with cloud and we have perhaps around 5cm of new snowfall in places.

After the wintery conditions of yesterday, we are back to clearer conditions this morning in Shiga Kogen. The sun is out.

This morning seems to be the day when all the resorts suddenly decide to add a chunk of snow to their official snow depth numbers!

Snow is coming down nicely now here in the Marike area. It started early on and we just had a dusting overnight but has since got colder and it's really falling from the skies nicely now.

Perhaps somewhat unexpected snow to report this morning, but I'm pleased about that. 10cm or so since yesterday I'd say and more higher up I would think.

It is good to see snow back with us today. A few cm overnight and a few cm more on cars parked around areas as I was driving around earlier on.

The sun has been shining down on us so far today, something of a contrast to yesterday and good timing for the weekend.
